From Livedaily.com: The Red Hot Chili Peppers will hit the North American tour trail in August in support of their forthcoming album, "Stadium Arcadium," which is the group's first new studio set in four years. The band has unveiled a list of about 30 North American cities where the tour will touch down, though dates and venues have not yet been announced. Details are included below. Tickets for the North American shows will hit the box office May 13, according to a tour announcement. Members of the band's official fanclub will have access to a ticket presale that takes place May 7-8. More information is posted at the group's website. "Stadium Arcadium," the Chili Peppers' follow-up to 2002's "By the Way," is due in stores May 9. The album features 25 cuts, to include first single "Dani California," which is streaming at the group's website. The song's music video is scheduled to premiere on MTV today (4/4). "Stadium Arcadium" was produced by longtime RHCP mentor Rick Rubin, and is the follow-up to 2002's "By the Way." As previously reported, the Chili Peppers' concert plans include a performance at this summer's Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. Portland, OR Boise, ID Salt Lake City, UT Denver, CO Phoenix, AZ San Diego, CA Oakland, CA Sacramento, CA San Jose, CA Fresno, CA New York/ New Jersey Boston, MA Philadelphia, PA Albany, NY Buffalo, NY Columbus, OH Cleveland, OH Grand Rapids, MI Detroit, MI Minneapolis, MN Canadian Cities: Vancouver, British Columbia Calgary, Alberta Edmonton, Alberta Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Winnipeg, Manitoba Toronto, Ontario Montreal, Quebec Ottawa, Ontario Quebec City, Quebec Support will come from The Mars Volta on all US dates I don't know about Canada though. I suspect Kanye West will probably be the 2nd opener since it's been in the news for awhile that RHCP wants to tour with him. I'll edit this post once the tourdates are announced I love it that the first city of the tour is Portland, OR (where I live)
Oh wait, I didn't know you were talking about the band !!!, I thought you added the exclamation point to express your excitment for the tour, or something along the lines of that. But I know The Mars Volta is going to be there. Don't know about !!!.
Why can't they come to Texas? =[ Screw that, I will make the trip to Arizona if need be to see them live.
I saw RHCP a few years back with the Foo Fighters. Both of them are awesome live. I'd recommend going if you get the chance
If the support act for Columbus is The Mars Volta, I will do everything humanly within my power to go. If it's Kanye West, I'll still try and go. Sorry, I didn't understand the first and second half thing.
Minneapolis! Maybe they'll play First Avenue, or the Triple Rock, or the Fine Line...OOH. I don't think I'll go if they play one of the really big venues, though. I don't really like the Xcel or the Target center.
