That's terrible. Especially since the Habs retired his jersey on the day he passed. I guess the Leafs are right back in the playoff race since they beat the Bolts and NJ lost.

The Nux-Stars game was pretty boring. I was just about to leave when Hank scored shorthanded. :) Some nice passing right there.

I think that the teams that are currently in playoff positions will be the ones to make it into the playoffs. What do you guys think?

I really do hope the Canucks make it, but it'll be a real struggle since they lost to Anaheim today, and have the fewest games remaining out of all the playoff contenders.

I'm hoping both Edmonton and Vancouver make the playoffs, but with the way Vancouver is playing nowadays, I don't think they deserve it.

I'd like to see San Jose make it.

How about the way Edmonton is playing. Fuck we need a new coach and fast.

Mac-T gets a hard time from fans, and now that we won this game 7-1 he might get a break.

This is going to be a nail-biter for Canucks fans. We're scheduled to play our last game on April the 15th. Provided that we are in a playoff spot by then, we'll have to watch other playofff-hopefuls play each other.
Damn schedule. I hope they change it so there are more East-West games.

Thank god. Now the Canucks still have a chance if they step their game up.

The Oilers are my second-favourite team, since my dad is from Edmonton; I'd like to see them make the playoffs too but I'd rather have Vancouver make it.

Holy shit. Mats Sundin had 4 goals and 2 assists against florida.

Jose Theodore has sucked this season.

6 points by Sundin, holy shit.

I listened to the entire game over the internet, it was by far the most entertaining game of the year. So many ups and downs. But the Leafs battled back and won it in overtime. You gotta hand it to Sundin, he's carrying this team and earning his salary.

There's till a very slim chance the Leafs can make it. Tampa can only get win one of the next three games and the Leafs will have to win their next 4. Luckily, Tampa is playing Carolina twice. Unluckily, Toronto is playing Buffalo and Ottawa on the weekend, back to back.

Yah Toronto kept thier hopes alive agian tonight with another win. But if anyone moves past Tampa I think it will be Atlanta.

Hell yah the Oilers clinch a spot, fuck that was a nail bitter like Justin said. Oh well I still hate MacT. But its good for the team cause they can make some extra revenue. But what a crazy night the Oilers score with 33.3 seconds left to win and the canucks blow a 3-2 lead int he third to loose.

Dammit. I bought playoff tickets thinking I'd have a chance to finally see the Canucks since regular-season tickets are impossible to get. I haven't been to the Garage to see a Canucks game since before I moved to China 6 years ago. Back then, my dad would take me home after the second period anyways.

At least next year tickets won't be in such high demand.

The next Vancouver game will be Bertuzzi's last as a canuck.

Yah more than likely. Kinda curious how they are gonna switch it up. Cause you know there will be changes made to that club. No reason they shouldn't ahve made the playoffs. I wouldn't doubt if they unload Naslund too.

To which is said "Thats assuming the leafs win the rest of their games which is not bloody likely"!

I think there are tons of reasons why the Canucks didn't make playoffs, mainly:
Everybody on the team stopped listening to Crawford a year ago.
Crawford didn't give our backups much of a chance to play, meaning that poor Auld had to play around 57 of the last 60 games. (or something like that)
Our top 3 defensemen (Jovo, Ohlund, Salo) were all injured at one point.
There was a time right after the Olympics were 4 of our regular d-men were out at the same time. (the 3 mentioned before and Baumgartner)
Our powerplay sucked when Jovo and Salo were out.
The West Coast Express lost all chemistry/just weren't trying.

What I think the Canucks should do:
    Fire Crawford
Trade Bertuzzi for a real playmaker like Savard (If Cheechoo can score 53 goals, imagine how many Naslund could get if paired with someone like that)
Resign the Sedins and Carter to long-term contracts
Resign Jovo and make him captain (He's got the heart, energy and passion that Naslund lacks)
Trade Cloutier for a star goalie OR Go with the Noronen/Auld combo like the Wild did with Rolie/Fernandez

What I think the Canucks will do:
    Trade Bertuzzi
Keep Crawford (which means we'll keep Cloutier)

I've heard contrasting rumours that Bertuzzi wants to leave or stay in Vancouver. I think that wherever he goes, he's really going to shine again. When he gets into a contract year, expect Bertuzzi to be in the top 10 scoring leaders.

Trade Bertuzzi for a decent goaltender. Perhaps Toskala with the Sharks. Throw in Ekman or Michalek and you've got a great deal for the Canucks (youth) and a great deal for the Sharks. A Bertuzzi - Thornton - Cheechoo line? Fear it.
