Hi me,my mom,and my brother all know that we have Adware on our cp and its slowin it down and keeps poppin up like "Your cp might be infected download Winfixer now" and when u click cancel it will bring its own download site up (even if it has to get out of yours and make it it's own) and our anti virus detects it and say's that it deleted it everytime we scan.
So does anybody have any ideas how i would get rid of it because it keeps comin back

Problem the first. Norton misses a LOT.

AVG is pretty good for a freebie, and for a payware AV, try Panda.

Anyways, stay on top of the spyware/adware, and DON'T click the 'Cancel' button on the popup - - this usually makes it worse...

I stopped using Norton Anti-Virus a long time ago when I found out it changes certain keys in your registry (I'm not sure what that was all about but I uninstalled it and whatever I was having a problem with went away).

McAfee's Virus Scan is a really decent anti-virus program, and updates five or six times a week (I receive notifications when it updates, and it da-dings all the damn time, haha).

Never underestimate reformatting. You probably got had for about a thousand bucks there. Easiest thing to do is just start 'er clean...buying a new computer probably isn't the way to go, unless your old one was a piece
