Finch have decided to take an indefinite break from what they've posted on their site.

Their new album was absolutely horrid. What it is to Burn was incredible, but Say Hello to Sunshine was just God-awful.

Maybe after they regroup they'll realize they shouldn't have changed their sound so drastically.

Emo-whores would think differently, but their new album was alright, with highs and lows. I thought Bitemarks and Bloodstains was a pretty solid track. I guess you just had to have an open mind, change doesn't always go over well. But yeah, they had a good run. I wish best of luck to the members of Finch.

Ugh, I hate it when bands say they're going on an "indefinite break/hiatus." They should just say they're breaking up, because that's exactly what it is, they're just trying to say it nicely while getting up false hopes of coming back at some point. Just call it a breakup for crying out loud, then if the unlikely event occurs that they get back together, call it a reunion.

I dunno when the term for bands splitting up became the same thing girls say to guys when they're trying to be nice about dumping them.

    Agree 100%

Hopefully this "long break" will help them realize how much their new style sucks and how they should go back to their old, much much better style. Finch used to be my favorite band (next to LP) but after the release of their recent album I don't even care about this "break" their having. It'll be a shame if they never come back becasue WIITB was such an amazing album. I loved it.
