Okay, well I'm trying to raise funds for a non-profit charity group called World Vision. If you want more info on what the group does, visit them at www.worldvision.org or www.famine.ca

What I'm doing is a 30 hour famine, where I don't eat anything for 30 hours (but I'm allowed water), collecting donations to help children in need around the world. Would you please click on the link below to make a donation and help me? Important: you are going to need a credit card, so please consult your parents first if you don't have one

    http://www2.worldvision.ca/famine/12916437
Keep in mind that you're donating in Canadian Dollars.
    1 Canadian Dollar = around 85ยข US

(If you have difficulty reaching this link from your email system, you can copy and paste it into the location or address bar of your Web browser).

It's easy, secure (I'll never see your credit card information) and helps me reach my goals more quickly.
    Thank you for you help.

I've heard of this. In fact a few of my friends are doing it and I've already donated to their causes with my already limited funds, so unfortunately I can't donate to you as well. But it's a great cause, everyone. Completely on the level.

Thanks for the endorsement, Mark. If you decide to donate money, thank you so much. Hate to sound like a hippy, but you can make a difference!

...What's wrong with sounding like a hippy? *gives you a funny look*

...oh, and I shall look into this.

Some people seem to think that hippies are god-hating communists. You know, the kind of people that Todd dislikes with a passion (with a good reason to).
I live in British Columbia, Canada. We're known for being hippies. I've probably seen more beat-up volkswagen vans painted with bright flowers than anybody else has. Did I mention we're known for growing great weed?

...I'm kind of a hippy though.

I hate being discriminated against.

    hehe, me=hippy/raver/emo/punk. :D but, all-in-all, i'm an individual so it's all good....lol...i'm kind of weird. >_<

My school does this. Great cause. :)

Although, I don't have my money online to donate to you, so I suggest you donate to me first, so I can donate to you! :eek:hmy:

Huh? That's :shifty: You'll probably scam me, take the money, run off to Mexico with in.the.shadows and Holiday, and live off the money I donated to your good cause.

If you're schools doing the same thing, that's awesome. Please donate some money to students at your school. It goes to the same cause, and it's more secure. (Plus I won't have to send you money to your good cause to donate to my good cause because I don't trust you. :p)

@ Holiday: Thanks for replying. btw, I don't hate hippies. In fact, I've talked to a lot and I love their laid-back vibe and views on life. :surrender Peace.

One of the reasons why the LPA is so awesome is because the people are so compassionate and understanding. Plus they have awesome smileys. :zorro:

You're a :king: , Tomi. Happy? Now get off your computer and go to bed.

If you're school's doing the same thing, I think you should definitely sign up to do the famine. You can 'fast' on lot's of different things for 30 hours, if you don't wanna do food. One of the options is to not use the Internet for 30 hours (seriously). I DARE YOU.

Well, I haven't heard anything about my high school doing anything as of yet, but I know for sure my junior high is doing it. I've got a few friends in there, so I was planning on donating something eventually.

No computer for 30hrs is torture. Unless you lock me in a room full of hot girls, then we might have a deal. ;)

If you're from the UK or Europe and reading this, please donate: the Canadian dollar is worth half as much as the Pound or the Euro, so donating 10 Canadian dollars is like donating 5 pounds/Euros.

I've started my famine, but you can still donate for another 20 or so hours. If you are even interested in helping people out, please donate ASAP.

So, I was at Pizza Hut with a couple of my friends today. Quite amusing dashing for the desert pizza from the buffet table trying to beat the junior high kids.
