I think after this I'm going to sell my Kanye West CDs. They're really not scratched and virtually unplayed. I paid about 12 bucks each for them so if someone wants to mail me a check for 24, these CDs are yours. I'm done with Kanye West. His crackhead statements have crossed the line now.
i've just been to see him live and yeh he did have a big head, but hell there isnt many better hip hop shows. his music is kick ass

I'm almost a little skeptical of if the man is truly that egotistical or not. I mean, when he's off-camera. I think it could just be publicity stunts. I wonder if you knew him personally, if he'd be that bad.

I mean, for example, look at Eminem... he makes music, produces music, and was in his own very sucessful movie; you don't see him going around saying he's the greatest. You would be too if your debut album was hailed as the best of 2004, nominated for a Grammy as I recall, and several other things. Can Eminem claim those? No.
But didn't you buy his CDs because he made good music? Kanye West is one of my favourite rappers. Yes, I think he is egotistical, cocky, and arrogant. That doesn't change my opinion on whether he makes good music or not.
Eminem's debut was said to be the best album of the year by many magazines and things when it was released, I'm pretty sure, and he has earned several grammy's and "several other things." Eminem also sounds better than Kanye, in my opinion. I dislike Kanye's music. I dislike Kanye. EDIT: No wait...I think EVERYTIME Eminem has released an album it has been hailed to be the best album of the year by many many many critics. Oh, and I think every year he releases an album he's nominated for a Grammy too. Wait...he was nominated for one this year, was he not? Yes...Yes he was.
Lots of you guys say that 'Ye is doing this for publicity. Guess what? If he did, it's WORKING. I've been listening to some of his stuff since this topic came out and... damn he's good. Come on, you've got to admit that his production skills are ace and some of his lyrics are so clever.
