Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. To be honest I think they were over a long time ago, they were an awesome band though and their legacy wont be forgotten.

Well yeah, they were over quite a while ago. But there was quite a bit of hope after Live8, I think.

I forget which guy it was, but I saw a recent live concert of them and his voice was absolutely terrible.

Awesome band though! Never will stop listening to the classics!

It was a great run, but all great things must come to an end.

    It was probably Roger Waters.

Too bad if we have another Live 8 style concert in 20 years we won't really have that many bands that huge to perform again. The lineup would probably look like this: Justin Timberlake! Green Day! TATU! and whats this? Simple Plan Reunion!

Pink Floyd had their time and were a great innovative band.

That's the problem though. You can't compare these new artists to the old classics. It just doesn't work.

Then how will we ever make a new classic band? There is a band out there somewhere in the world that is the next Pink Floyd.

I think Red Hot Chili Peppers can claim that title.

Perhaps Oceansize. I could see Coheed & Cambria or The Mars Volta changing alot of things in years to come, like Pink Floyd did.

As for RHCP, they're more like a better Stones to me.
