I can just imagine Metallica going out on thirty minute metal/noise experiments. As a matter of fact, that could be kind of cool, if done right. But people would hate Metallica even more than they do now. But I guess anything they do, people will hate them. If they went back and played something close to Master of Puppets, people would say they're rehashing. If they did something completely different, they'd say it's not metal, and that they need to go back to their roots.
When Metallica and Volta Played Big Day Out 2004, the whole band were praising their work, saying how amazing they were. Infact: And Branden's sig is the wallpaper on my phone...just thought i'd add that little piece of news.
I'm really shocked that Rick is producing both Metallica and LP's albums. Eaither he's doing them both at the same time, or Linkin Park are a lot further a long with their album then we all think... ...or Metallica is a lot further along then we all think.
Yeah. that's true. and if they stay as they are now (St.Anger) People will hate them for that too. so they can't win. but what ever they do i will most likely buy it and like at least one song off it. Either way, i can't wait to get some idea of what they're doing.
I think its going to sound a bit like the Load/Reload days. I think they know the reactions of the fans with St. Anger.
I've seen interviews with the band where they let on that they know that St Anger was pretty shit. That haven't played a St Anger song on any shows in '05 or '06.
Yeah. I think they know about St. Anger from the interveiws i've read, but another album like load/reload would be ok. could be better, but it'd still be pretty good. some people are actualy comparing this (and the few years before) like the time leading up to the black album. To have another album similar to the black album would be amazing. Though i'd prefer something like Ride the lightening/Master of puppets but, that's probably not going to happen.
