I think that Bin Laden is trying to create doubt about the American Government. It seems like it's working.

For once I agree with Bush; there is absolutely no negotiating with Terrorists.

what if he is being serious? i am sure watching his country getting blown to pieces cannot be that easy, and he knows as well as we do that if he is jerking bush's chain then he will retaliate with even more force. i think bin laden is scared. as he should be. maybe he learned his lesson. i think we should accept his offer, but still keep our guard up in case he does have something up his sleeve. however, i just feel that it would be wrong to totally disregard him. if this is a chance at peace, why won't anyone take it? i don't want to see any more fighting, and this could be a chance to make amends with each other.

    Casey being devil's advocate©:

To those who want the truce: Have you forgotten who our President is? The Terrorist-Killing Cowboy? If you think George fuckin' Bush is going to accept a peace treaty - is virtual enemy - then you're seriously wrong. As much as I may want it to happen, we'll never negotiate with a terrorist. Why do you think Americans, Canadians, Europeans and everyone else who has ever been abducted by a terrorist group was left to be executed? Because no one negotiates with terrorists.

bush needs to stop thinking of himself, because he is putting everyone else in danger. this isn't a thing with a couple of hostages that we are talking about. this is the entire united states. if he is willing to put his pride before the safety of his people, then he has a serious problem.

although i agree with casey, this will never happen because bush has a serious problem.

ugh I absolutely hate the president. I think other people here agree with me, he needs to get past the BS "we don't deal with terrorists" thing cause being stubborn like that is getting our people killed. Good thing he's almost out of office I hope the new guy takes the truce and saves us all.

    Bush is dumb.

Why can't we all just get along. Is it so hard to accept other peoples beliefs?

plz read all of my response fully....u can start tearring it apart afterwards

i don't think u quite understand the situation......in our constitution (fo us american) it says that everyone has a right to their beliefs......except when you infirnge the safety of another......bin Laden believes that we r infidels......and in his interpretation of the muslim religion......infidels are to be killer, decapitated......he has openly stated this along with all the other terrorist cells in iraq beheading prisoners, if u c one of those videos your opinion on the situation will drastically change......they think that what they r doing is holy.

and for ppl that think that bush should attempt to accept the offer of peace.....how exactly is that gonna work.....it is a great idea but it wouldn't work.....how would he convince bin Laden that he is being serious and not going to send a strike team as soon as he figures out where he is......it just isn't going to work......bin Laden will not trust the US......or ne non muslim country.

and for everyone who thinks the US shouldn't hv invaded iraq because iraq didn't do nethin to the us....well.....start out with this....i am aetheist.....and neone here who is christian should feel ashamed for think against the us.....not because god is on the US side....i don't know if he is or isn't....cause i don't believe in him......but how many of u remember the story of the good samaritan.......now lets ignore the terrorist activities and pretend that they hadn't happened......look at suddam hussien......he is a mass murderer......u can call bush that, but that is in war against militants......not against innocent kurds who probably had nothing to do with and assasination attempt on hussien's life......so he gasses them....kills thousands......they found mass gravesof people that havn't been explained yet......now this where the good samaritan ties into this......Iraq may not hav done nehting to the us.....i don't know if they were planning to or not...no proof either way.....so no one can really say otherwise.....but he was a terrible leader, a meglomaniac, and a mass murderer. He never should really justice towards ppl probably...regardless of what ppl think.....the US freed a nation from a corrupt leader.....just like the good samaritan they attempted to stop something wrong from continuing to happen or helping afterwards......

To claim that it "ain't none of ur business" is the height of human arrogance......a fault that only a human could have concieved......most humans are so obsessed with their pious selves......they fail to c the real picture that involves all of humanity....some of it is bread thru religion.....some is bread through society.....either way.....i attempt to live a humanistic life.....i don't believe in religion but i do believe in a shared humanity and ideas or what is right....not what is right from what a religion says (social conditioning) but what is innately right.......even tho i know that there are still problems with my ideals.....such that no people will ever fully agree on what is right.....

sorry if i got off topic mods

K, first off... I can barely understand your typing skills.

I'm Canadian, and my girlfriend is American, so don't start to think I don't know Jack about your precious country. So, yea... I was wrong, I still think Bush is a dick and that Bin Laden is a fucking retard who is taking his religion WAY too far.

I myself am an atheist, so your not alone there. I still wish that the entire fucking world would stop thinking about itself and start thinking about everybody else. A greater good.

What your saying makes sense, but despite what your laws and rights are, the US should not have jumped into a war like this so quickly. <<< That by the way, is my opinion.
