http://www.youtube.com/w/Avenged Sevenfold - Beast and the Harlot?v=KJw_95eH8CM&eurl= Avenged Sevenfold has premiered their new video for the song "Beast and the Harlot" on MTV and MTV2 today and it's on Youtube now. It's a pretty good video that portrays the song well. Plus it's just a damn good song.
This video is awesome. I saw the making of on MTV2 today and I have to say had I not heard the concept, I would have thought, "the average viewer would not know why this is all happening."
I'm pretty sure the video's horrible, even if I did understand the storyline. I'm pretty sure they're slowly selling out. I mean, they're excited to be on TRL! Come on. That's ridiculous. And all their videos have scantily-clad women in them now. They're not rappers, for Christ's sake.
Have you watched the making of the video? They apparently explain the reasoning for it. I love how easily annoyed people can be from seeing gold teeth. They made fun of themselves for being on TRL because they were placed with Ashlee Simpson and shit. Who wouldn't be excited to get famous? Of course there are bad sides to it but there are a lot more good points with it. Anyway, for those of you that don't understand the video. The video and the song were about the city of Babylon from the Bible. The girl in the red is a "devil in training" and M. Shadows and the rest of the band are the Devils. Basically the girl goes around serving them and they betray her in the end.
I always thought "selling out" meant writing jingles for Pizza Hut or McDonald's. Not having fun being on a television station. I'm sure Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Panic At The Disco, and The Academy Is are so pissed about being on TRL.
Some people are just too xHardxCorex for MTV. Or naked women. I wish the members of Motley Crue and Poison were those types of people. Then maybe we would've been spared.
Pardon me for stating an opinion, everybody. Back in the day M. Shadows said he never wanted his band to be on MTV, let alone TRL. And now they're excited about it, and it's bull.
songs terrible.. but i really like the part with the contract, that was done really well and was so cool lookin
I can't watch the video because my computer is being stupid, but I hafta say The Beat and the Harlot is not one of my favrorite City of Evil songs--too theatrical and not in a good way.
