that's fine if you're not a fan. I know not everybody stays fans of bands they like and I'm not following LP blindly if I was then that would mean I don't like ANY other bands and I like plenty of other bands.

No, following a band blindly means that you don't acknowledge their short-comings.

No one's perfect. IMO, the real fans are the ones who can critisize the band.

No one's perfect, LP included. I'm not saying you have to openly criticize them, but they do have their shortcomings, as does everyone else

I'm not commenting on the LP part of this discussion because I love them and their sound. Anyway, I like some HH, but the guy that screams just doesn't fit into like any of their songs. Also, I like Nikki FM, but it's like they don't know when to end the second verse and it really takes away from what little the song has going for it.

Not at all. I'm bored with hearing the same songs over and over again, but if Linkin Park were to release their new album tomorrow and all of the songs were the same style again, I would not be bored with it at all.

zakrisk, I understand what you're saying. Sure, I was able to listen to Meteora for months upon months without getting bored, but once I was introduced to other music I did realize that the sound was rather plain. I mean, you've got some kind of synthesized intro, clean/rapped verse, screamed/growled chorus, that again, screamed bridge, and chorus on most songs with a few exceptions. I really think Linkin Park will gain a little more respect once they try something more intricate, or just original, anyway.

Oh, not to mention, Joe's instrumentals should involve Brad and Rob more, IMO.

Hawthorne Heights are okay, but like what has already been said, their guitars sound quite samey from song to song. also their songs are just too stereotype "emo" for me...

I'd like Hawthorne Heights much more if they had a different vocalist. Musically, I enjoy them, but there's something about the guy's voice and his lyrics that bother me a little bit. I don't mind that they're "emo" because I'm too lazy to care about a silly stereotype.

I love how this Hawthorne Heights thread became an argument about Linkin Park. Way to stay on topic and respect different opinions.

YAY FOR THIS THREAD BECOMING INCREASINGLY OFF TOPIC!

Listen guys, if you wanna discuss/have a debate about how Linkin Park needs to change their sound or become stagnant...do it in Linkin Park Chat.

Despite my negative feelings towards Hawthorne Heights (which I wont post here), this is a thread to post whether you like HH or not. Not to discuss how "LYK OMIGAWD U ARENT A GUD LP FAN IF U CRITICIZE THEM".

Move that to LP Chat, not here.
