My dad wanted me to shamlessly plug his band. Yes, I'm being used. *tear*. Actually he just wants the feedback. He basically want ya'll to rip him apart. This is a 3-piece garage band comprised of middle-aged men. Yes, I said it. My father, Bill, is the over-enthusiastic drummer, his friend Jack on bass and Doug is lead vocals and guitar. It's.... interesting stuff to say the least. I'll give them one thing. They aren't a cover band. They write their own songs. Whatever. Hahaha...this is so badass. I'm not gonna rip them apart...I can't think of anything to really rip them apart about, lol. I think it's cool for older guys, such as them, to be making music together. I like Doug's voice. It sounds country-ish. I also like the guitar playing. It shows that they really know how to play well. I also felt that the songs flowed together nicely. I wish your dad could be seen in the video though, lol.
Yeah, the basement set-up isn't exactly grand-scale y'know? I mean, they're filming with a camcorder hanging from a phonecord coming out of the ceiling. lol And Doug's from Alabama. That's the coutry-esque twang you're getting. And I added another (slightly older) video that my dad's in.
Wow, I wish my da knew how to play an instrument other than his voice. I see nothing that needs to be ripped apart. I agree with Andrea, I like Doug's voice, it does sound country. I think they all know what they're doing. I love the name Monica's Lunch.
Nah, they're good . Flows well, the songs could qualify as "mainstream" (in a positive way, I mean that they sound like something that could be played on the radio)... Tell em' to keep going, and I want them to cover Sweet Home Alabama, they indeed would sound good covering Lynrd Skynrd .
I think they've done it before. He says thay'll do it again and when they do he'll get it on tape. heh.
