Linkin Park Currently Writing Upcoming Album

In a phone interview for the Twin Cities Pioneer Press, Mike Shinoda exclaimed that fans can expect a new album by the end of the year, he just doesn't know exactly when. "I wish I could tell you when," he said, "but I'm writing for Linkin Park while I'm touring with Fort Minor. That's what I'll be doing on the bus."

As mentioned earlier, Linkin Park plan on going into the studio for pre-production within the next few months.

I think they're just messing with us to hype it up even more. I mean, c'mon... look at some of the posts regarding the new album. Some of you are freaking out, and thats what you'd want if you were working on an album. You'd want fans banging down the music store's door on that release date.

I bet they're gonna keep doing this until WAM it'll be a month till release and they'll tell us.

I hope what happens is he acts like they dont know and then at this thing coming up it's sooner than all of us think...but...I'm just hoping.

I'm not really all that hyped right now because I know we still have nearly a year to wait for it. My interest in music in general is at an all time low right now for some reason.

 

omg.. this must be the 20'th time they've announced something like this.
"ok guys , we're going to make the album!"
"ok we're planning to go in the studio in a few months"
"we're still planning to go into the studio, but expect some news soon!"
"ok we still dont have squat but we expect the album is going to be released in a few months!"
its not that im not hyped up about the album , but next time instead of sharing news that most people already know , maybe they could give us something different to get all hyped up about..I've heard the same exact news from mike and the rest for about 3 months now.

 

He better not disappoint me with this news or I'll just have to...................................................wait....longer.....for more news.
