I need more, I'm addicted. If you inform me of more TMV songs that aren't in the above quote you will be my hero for 20 minutes. Help appreciated.

Theres an actual song called "Frances the Mute" that was supposed to be on the album as the last track but it was taken out because it couldnt fit on the disc :p After you've listened to the whole album and played that song you really tell that its a proper finish to the album..

Theres another unreleased track called "The Bible and The Breathalyzer" which is rather prose-ish lyrics over TMV's signature distorted sound effects.. Its a good listen but doesnt really count as a song..

There are other instrumental tracks and demos out there too.. im not quite sure of their names but ill say when i find outs... Also there is a string quartet tribute to the entire "De-Loused In The Comatorium" album.. Its real good to sit back and listen to..

Do you have scabdates? coz their improvised tracks on that album hasnt been heard before.. Even thought its live you cant really tell..

Frances The Mute the song was meant to be the first song of the album, not the last.

In addition to Scabdates, there's also the Live EP.

    1. Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of...) [Live]
    2. Drunkship of Lanterns [Live]
    3. Cicatriz ESP [Live]
    4. Televators [Live]

The first two tracks were recorded for BBC Sessions, I believe. The last two were recorded live at The Electric Ballroom back in 2003.

Like tremulant said, there's also Bible & The Breathalyzer, which is on the L'via L'viaquez single.

A Plague Upon Your Hissing and Ambuletz are two De-Loused b-sides.
Caught In The Sun is a b-side also, I believe, but was never studio recorded.

There are two recorded jams that I know of, where they play a whole set just improvised.
One entitled Abortion: The Other White Meat was recorded at the KROQ Weenie Roast in Los Angeles on May 21st, 2005.
Another, unnamed jam was recorded at Bottom of the Hill is San Francisco on June 2nd, 2005.

I would also listen to some live bootlegs of The Mars Volta. As they play each song very different each night, they're good if you're looking for new material. Their improvs also sometimes are hints to the next album. For example, they played the main riff from Cassandra Gemini quite a bit back in 2004 during Cicatriz. They also played the guitar interlude from Cygnus... Vismund Cygnus at the end of Drunkship quite a few times live. You can get these bootlegs here. You'll probably have to register there before you can access the trading section. I think they have Caught In The Sun and A Plague Upon Your Hissing for download there, too.

Omar Rodriguez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala also did a song on Handsome Boy Modeling School's record, I don't remember what it's called.

Omar also has two solo albums, one called A Manual Dexterity... and a new, self-titled one. I haven't heard the new one yet though. :(
On Manual Dexterity, Cedric came in for a song called The Palpatations Form A Limit, which makes it a near-Mars Volta song.

Cedric has a solo piece on some kind of single released by GSL, but I don't remember what it was. De Facto also has members of The Mars Volta in it, they're pretty good.

Cedric did a cover of I've Had It by Black Flag.

The demos are on an unofficial CD called the "Summer Demo Sessions". There's also a post-Tremulant version of "Eunuch Provocateur" floating around somewhere.

And Branden neglected to mention the Triocha Jam with John Frusciante and Flea (I believe). Omar did some guitar work on some of Frusciante's solo albums, too.

I do have that, I was just mainly hunting for studio tracks.

I listed Frances The Mute at the bottom so I already have that. I'll check out this Bible and the Brethalyzer track and the live EP.

And holy shit that are kings live, saw them yesterday and they were amazing. Frances the Mute sounded godly.

Cedric has a solo 12" coming out on GSL.

EDIT: Err, came out in December, but I can't find anything on it. Not even a tracklisting.

Televators is a pretty sweet song

My band recently covered it for fun at one of our semi-acoustic shows

I didn't like Scabdates... I mean, it was good, but I could barely hear Jon at moments.

Plus, they're a ton of live bootlegs out there (a la the Electric Factory 2005 or St. Louis 2003) that are so much better then Scabdates.

I do give them credit for taking different parts at a live show and pasting them together.

A Manual Dexterity is technically a soundtrack for Omar's movie which was put on a indefinite hiatus (where have I heard that before). The self titled one is just his side project or something like that.
