I Want, I Know You want to mature Take yourself off of their lure Be who you want to be and look so sure Make every little choice be yours But what does it matter ‘Cause in their eyes No matter how hard you try And fly away you’ll just be left behind You’re just another puppet tied up and left wondering why It isn’t your time to yet grow from their life But it’s just your luck They don’t show that they give a fuck I’ know it sucks Making you want to chuck this life away Go to sleep before the end of the day And awake still feeling the same old pain I want I want to grow from your mold I know ‘Cause I know I’m getting to old What I want to show is my life as my own But no matter what I say My way is way too early Craving just to exist In a world that you’ve almost missed Pressured under the laugher of people getting their kicks At every little thing you’ve wished But what does it matter Hey you’re your own person Time to react before the pain worsens This is a lesson to get rid of that poison ‘Cause it’s limiting all your choices You might go insane and start hearing voices Their grip will just tighten Making you feel more frightened And to just feel enlightened Go to sleep at the end of the day And awake hoping not to feel the same old pain ‘Cause you know why? (huh) ‘Cause you know why? (huh) ‘Cause, ‘cause you know why? (huh, huh) It’s your time I want to climb out of this can Lye and grow old in the sand Get a tan in my own plan I know what I want My way today without feeling afraid Time not slippin’ away This isn’t The End This is the beginning The beginning of the end Cause I know when to say “when” It’s now and not then ‘Cause it’s taken forever I want I want to grow from your mold I know ‘Cause I know I’m getting to old What I want to show is my life as my own But no matter what I say My way is way too early No matter what I say My way is way too early But It’s your time (uh) But It’s your time (uh) It’s your time
Not bad. I think the biggest thing you have to overcome in your poems is the forced rhyming. No offence, it just seems present in all your stuff. Besides that, good job.
