all i have to say is wow, most of the kids that make these tabs that u find on google search have NO idea wtf they are doing, or they dont WATCH the dvd, or they have a terrible ear, they settle for just what sounds slightly right, for example:http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/l/linkin_park/numb_tab.htm WTF? this totally pisses me off.. anyone else know what i mean?
Yeah, I know what you mean, I just try and find live videos and watch Brad as much as possible to figure out how he plays stuff. I stopped posting tabs on guitar tab sites because whenever I would post something 100% accurate people would claim that my tabs were wrong just because I got stuff right that nobody else had in their tabs.
Hey can u send me sum of ur tabs then, if they are 100% accurate. See in australia we dont have mush of the official books so i have to search for tabs on the net. I want 100 % accuracy on the tabs i play
Sure, I've got all of Hybrid Theory tabbed out in a text file: (Had to put them in 2 files because it was too big to attach as 1)
ive been trying to figure out runaway for a while now. i cant believe what im seeing.. people who know what they are doing while making tabs, thanks!
The irony in all this is that the "official" tab books actually have loads of mistakes in them. I wouldn't suggest buying the tab books because the only thing that makes them official is that LP hires some guy to transcribe the songs to tab for the book. Brad doesn't do any of the tabbing for the books himself so there's really no guarantee of them being correct. I bought the Meteora tab book and was so disgusted by all the blatant mistakes that I started looking for live videos so I could watch Brad and Mike and figure them out the right way.
I dont noe if this is supposed to reflect badly on my skills as a guitarist but i find it pretty hard to tab their music by watching them. You guys have a lot of skill. I only listen to the music then tab and yet im never that 100%accurate. Thankz a heap for the tabs man. U wouldnt have meteora tabbed would u?
I haven't had time to tab out Meteora yet, I know how to play the songs I just haven't bothered writing them down yet.
the only hard meteora songs are: somewhere i belong, faint(i just am not sure about brads fingering), and maybe lyning from you, just like the chorus
The harmonics in Easier to Run are kinda hard to pick out of the mix, and that tapping part at the beginning of Figure.09 takes a little getting used to. That's about all I had trouble learning...
whats the 3rd chord played in numb that for some reason kids like to put it on the 8th fret, but if u watch the dvd its obviously not, i think it might be: x x 5 3 1 x
Hey im still waiting on someone to post up meteora tabs. im not in a hurry iz kool take your time. but can someone post up Numb I can neva find an accurate one theres all different ones i want the real one
It's either that or: x x x 3 1 3 I think the 2nd way is how Brad plays it...Brad started using chords shaped like that on a few Meteora songs, they're in Faint and Lying From You as well.
First of all, that first tab IS right (IMO), it's just in the wrong tuning. Drop D instead of Drop B. And if you can't play 99% of LP's song by ear then.... well I won't diss anyone's skills. The only semi-hard LP songs are (in order from hardest to kind of hard) Easier To Run (harmonics), Pushing Me Away (harmonics), Somewhere I Belong (Bridge). And the Numb chord: Yes it's on the 8th fret and not it's not. Howso? Well If you play in Drop B the chord is 8th fret, lowest 3 strings. But since the 5th fret on the Low E string becomes the open A string... You can play Numb like X X X X X X X X X X X X 5 1 8 3 5 1 8 3 5 1 8 3 Or X X X X X X X X 2 X 5 X 2 1 5 3 0 1 3 3 X 1 X 3
