What sport(s) do you want to start playing? For me, it would be Ice Hockey. I haven't skated in around 5 years, because I was living in China. I was a decent skater, but I'll probably have to start all over. I'm really really good at road hockey, which is my best sport. How long do you think the transition will take?
I don't know for sure. I know I went straight from rollerblading to the ice in about... 5 hours. I'd really like to play some more football. I can run the ball very well.
I want to play football/soccer whicheva you wanna call it...but i suck and im so unfit and yet i love the game!
You need to learn balance on your skates if you want to make a transition to Ice Hockey. There's a decent amount of weight placed on your legs when taking shots, especially slap shots, so yeah, you definately need balance. Just practice, it'll come quickly. I'd love to play Lacrosse. I've got great eye-hand coordination and I'm speedy, and I think it'd be fun. I'd like to become a better tennis player, too.
Looks like such fun, but there's no way I'd be able to afford any of the equipment, same for hockey. Rugby looks like a lot of fun, but I don't know of any-where/one around here that plays, other than colleges. I'd really like to get more into soccer. I played a lot when I was little but during middle school I left my recreation league and got heavy into martial arts. Kickboxing or wrestling definitely.
Well, I must say I'm deeply in love with soccer. I enjoy both watching and playing. I used to play soccer, but lately I don't really have the time to join a team, wich would be wonderful. Besides, I'm really out of shape so it might take a while to be used to it again. But anyway, I would really like to play again.
I've been longing to play ice hockey since I was a little kid, but I've just never had the time. I'm a great skater, I'm wicked fast, and have great coordination, but just haven't had the time to get started.
