Okay. If killing and torturing animals was my only way to get money, I still wouldn't do it. Ever. I'd rather die myself than for example, tie cats in bags and drown them in boiling water. How can these people not know what they're doing is wrong? they're killing animals in an inhumane way and laughing about it. If they don't know what they're doing is wrong then they are still just as sick in the head. Also, good luck trying to teach somebody who was raised that way & "needs the money" that it's wrong. They should all die just so they don't raise their own children to be like them.
I think your have doing some real sterotypical views of what these people thing and believe. I know what China is like in respects to animal cuelty. I've seen these tigers evicerated with only thier gal bladder or penis removed. I've seen the total waste and disrespect for life human and animal alike. I think that it is a horrible misconseption that even if animals dont' apear to think like people, they still feel and think. just becuase they don't speak our language they still are feeling creatures. No living thing should be put through that sort of tourture. Especially ones with cognitive thinking abillities. they can think thier ways through problems and learn. All living things deserve to be respected.
If I could get hold of just one of those bastards who think thats an honourable way of earning money, I'd make sure they'd suffer pain worse than they could ever imagine. They might know the difference. I don't know. But the fact remains that this happens to animals ALL THE TIME. How do you think lobsters are cooked? They're alive when you pick them out at the restaurant, and the cooks make idle chat with each other whilst they boil the creatures alive. Think of being caught with a hook through your mouth, cramped in dirty water for hours on end, then being gutted to death. It's the life of the fish. We just have a bias toward cats and dogs because we consider them to be pets, domestic animals. We consider them friends. Some people don't have the priviledge to do so. To them, it's just meat. I'm sure you've heard of Koreans eating dogs.

One of the most famous dishes in Chinese cuisine is actually dog. Cats are not so popular among the culinary part, but eating dog meat is actually quite common. As bizarre as that sounded, the Chinese also eat snake and pretty much every part of the pig(from coagulated blood to pig feet).

That's why I said usually. But I suppose that they probably humanely kill the animals that get eaten. I wouldn't know though as I've never been over there.
actually, they did. in the dark ages. and looking at the video, i would say this is pretty close to the dark ages. they aren't in hong kong here, they are in areas of poverty. i'll bet you that the prime minister or whatever you call him isn't even paying attention to these areas. like a chinese ghetto. this is these people's only job, probably the only one around, and i am almost positive they don't even get paid enough for it. i really think they don't know what they are doing, or why they are doing it, and if they did, they might even protest that they aren't making enough money. it is a classic case of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. i feel incredibly sorry for these cats and dogs, but think about it: they are already dead. ALL OF THE ANIMALS IN THAT VIDEO ARE ALREADY DEAD. so there is nothing you can do about that. what we need to do is show these laborers what they are doing and why it is wrong, and then go after the companies that are making them do that. not the people, at least until they know what they are doing is wrong. call me whatever you want, but i also feel sorry for these people because it is the only job they have. you don't konw if they feel bad about what they are doing or not, you didn't ask them. and just because they are laughing means nothing. i laugh at work and i abhor my job. i blame the companies that are doing this the most. again, i am not saying that the laborers are right, but they don't know any better.
