'The Game' Let me tell you something I figured out today Life is kinda like a big chess game Every major event in this world that’s taken place Is a turn closer towards checkmate Behind a wall of pawns the king stays back Doing anything to avoid an oncoming attack Sacrificing pawns is a small price to pay Just as long as they win in the end anyway Just as long as the king is kept in tact And comes out scratch free from any attack And you know, that’s exactly what our leaders do They’re quite happy to sacrifice thousands of troops Then they say they’ve all died for a greater cause But tell that to the people who open their loved ones death reports Their expressions change when they start to lie It’s like that devious gleam in your opponents’ eye That tells you they’re one step ahead of you But you grin when they think you don’t have a clue And you fight your strongest and your best It’s like a 2 million strong city street protest In the end the opponent does something they shouldn’t of done And that’s when you know you’ve won Time is just slowly waiting for the event That revolution finally comes into effect They think they’ve got the upper hand But we’ll win at the end of the day This game of chess is a struggle for life And we’ll win no matter what we must pay There will be suffering in the process There will be times when you wanna give up But stay strong and don’t make any bad moves And the winners of this game will be us The twin towers were castles in this chess game Nothing more than a sacrifice that caused so much pain So much that we nearly gave up on everything that day It was a day that some sick bastard threw it all away I remember it was three o’clock and I was in RE class When there was an announcement saying get out of class fast Come to the assembly hall for an emergency meeting The teachers said nothing to get anyone freakin’ As they connected the TV to the big projector screen What everyone saw was like something out of a bad dream Everyone in that room started panicking and crying The teachers said it’ll be okay but we knew they were lying From that day on the world changed for us all Prejudice once again started standing tall Anyone who looked even remotely Middle Eastern Got much worse, much horrible treatment than anyone else Hell, one of my friends nearly killed himself because of it Some bastard wouldn’t stop calling his family illegal immigrants And everyday it would be the same routine He’d go around treating him like a fucking disease That’s when I got tired of the shit Being mixed-race myself it was my duty to butt in Every punch I gave was my statement of play That we should be stickin’ to conquer this game Pawns don’t attack each other you son of a bitch We’re on the same team and we’re not even about to quit But if you wanna make matters worse by racial slurs I’ll make you regret your momma ever gave you birth And anyway we might all be pawns in this thing But pawns are always one step ahead of the king They think they’ve got the upper hand But we’ll win at the end of the day This game of chess is a struggle for life And we’ll win no matter what we must pay There will be suffering in the process There will be times when you wanna give up But stay strong and don’t make any bad moves And the winners of this game will be us Stop the timer The whole city goes quiet Then suddenly millions run out on the street Its like the people have set up their own army They’re all running towards the door of the leader Even the police are eager to get inside And tell the bastard sitting in the chair Checkmate motherfucker Some dream huh? But its not a dream, its what’s next for us human beings They think they’ve got the upper hand But we’ll win at the end of the day This game of chess is a struggle for life And we’ll win no matter what we must pay There will be suffering in the process There will be times when you wanna give up But stay strong and don’t make any bad moves And the winners of this game will be us
Woah that's some good writeing there, people should take lessons from that. Really good work there man .
