From Kerrang.com "Funeral For A Friend have been forced to cancel their upcoming US tour. Drummer Ryan Richards has contracted a stomach infection and doctors have informed him that he needs to rest and cannot travel. It is unfortunately too last minute for the band to get a replacement drummer for December, so they are cancelling the US run. Funeral will return to the States as part of the Taste of Chaos Tour in February 2006. In a statement, frontman Matt Davies says, "Unfortunately Ryan has been ill and needs treatment here in the UK to remedy his illness, this means that we will be unable to play the shows we had in place along the east coast of the USA and Canada this November/December. We are very, very sorry about this but we want Ryan to get better. We were all looking forward to this tour and meeting up with the friends we have made so far on our trips to the USA, but when it comes to situations like this, we made a conscious decision that Ryan should be allowed to recover. We truly hope that everyone will understand this, we appreciate all of our fans and all of their commitment to us and we promise to come back even stronger in the new year for the Taste of Chaos US tour." Doesn't effect me in any way but I thought other people might wanna know.
bummer because theyre one of the best bands ever, hope ryan gets well soon. at least now i might get to see them with a bunch of sweet bands on taste of chaos though...
I don't understand why everyone complains about the thread titles. Sometimes they can be stupid and misleading, but that's half the fun.
I have gotten to watch them perform live twice. They are one of the best live bands that I have gotten to watch. They are utterly amazing. They could use a little bit more stage presence, though.
