Hey, As much as I try to get to the gmail site, it aint having it. Firefox times out, IE does the same. It's been like this all day. I've asked a few people over MSN and they can get to it. So is anybody else having this problem? Cause i'd like to know if it's just me.
I have no problems with it. Try using another computer, might be an IP specific issue... although I would have no idea why... any problems connecting to anything else today?
Nope I can connect to everything else just fine. And using another computer unfortunately isn't an option at my disposal right now. Thanks anyway EDIT: Okay it's magically working again now. Thanks guys. EDIT 2: Nope, doing it again. Gahh this is annoying.
Can you access their site and not log in or just not access it in general? Regardless, try using a proxy like the one at http://www.unipeak.com/. This would help tell if it was an IP problem.
Gmail never fails for me except once when I had to get into it at school in order to print an essay or something. That pretty much pissed me off because I only had about 5 minutes before I needed it.
You can at least access it at school. It's blocked at my school. <_< It was unblocked for a few weeks, but they blocked it again. =\

My school blocked Gmail, but if you use that new Google personalized homepage thing, you can still access it if you put Gmail on your personal homepage.
Ah, Google's starting to annoy me. Sometimes I can compose a new message, other times it just lags on me. Same for reading my email. Times out. <_<
If you have any Symantec products (Norton AntiVirus, etc.) installed on your PC, Gmail won't work. I don't know why, but that was my problem. As soon as I uninstalled all the Symantec products from my PC, Gmail worked just fine and my PC started to run faster, too, because Symantec products are memory whores.
Might have been your settings not allowing GMail's AJAX to work properly.
Nah. I read an article about how hundreds of thousands of other users were having the same problems with Symantec products (not neccesarily with Gmail). Once they uninstalled Symantec products, other things that stopped working started working again and the same thing happened with me. I had other problems that were also solved by uninstalling Symantec products. McAfee products don't fuck up your PC and also don't change settings in the registry (I had a runaround with the registry because of Norton AntiVirus when I was networking my computers).

A network filter can block anything that can go in or out of the network. It's a secure connection from the computer to Gmail's servers, but the connection is still going through the school's routers and netorking equipment and can be blocked if the school chooses to do so.

Yeah. In my school you can't use anything but the school's proxies. <_<
