So, I've been just kind of casually checking the news post about Fort Minor and stuff, but I just find it hard to be excited about it. It's not that I'm against hip-hop or anything, or that Mike is doing things other than Linkin Park. I guess I just notice a lot of people around here making a big deal over this, and I just don't really see what's so great. I don't even know if I'll download the album. I'll probably listen to some of it anyway, and maybe I'll be surprised. But it doesn't look that way now. So, is there anyone else that feels the same way as I do?
Yes, I see it as a big thing. First off I was only following because it was Mike Shinoda, but after hearing a few songs, I actually became interested in it. As more got released, I got into it more. When the album drops and the tours are out,and LP's next album information is out, this will probably be pushed back into the back of my mind. But yeah, I care about Fort Minor.(If only for a little while)
yea i care about it i support lp in whatever they do.... if mike made a solo record im following it because i love it and the music so yea i rlly do enjoy it alot....
hmm i would think you're crazy for not being excited about FM but.. looking at your avatar and sig i gotta say you rock TMV kicks *points to my name* heheheh anyways.. LP albums comes out soonish.. are you looking forward to Chesters album?
i really into it - i think its a great idea and he is making some great music at the same time. mikes doing his own thing and i honestly think it will turn heads when its released - dont quote me on that though i imagine i'll be more excited about this than the album that Chester is going to release... but i know where you are coming from - it isnt LP - and to be honest i'd be more excited if LP where to drop an album. but whatever - to answer your question - yes iam excited
I'm basically 50/50 on this Fort Minor project. Part of me is interested in it and the other part just really doesn't care for it. I guess I just really want a new LP album instead of a solo project. -_-
I like what I've heard of Fort Minor so far, but I'm not acting like some people who seem to think Mike is the saviour of mainstream music.
I really like it. Mike Shinoda is talented (obviously) so of course I don't mind hearing more from him. I just hope it doesn't lead to him wanting to break away from Linkin Park completely.
im only feeling pumped for it because it's the closest thing we're getting to an LP album for a while, to hear Shinodas voice in something new is nice.
Im really into this, Ima Hip-Hop fan also so this is right up my alley also. Mike probably has the sickest beats. I really like his musical creativity. Even if Mike wasn't part of Linkin Park, I would enjoy Fort Minor the same.
I don't really care for Hip-Hop at all. For some reason, though, I'm really excited for this cd. I just wonder if I'm going easy on it and liking it just because it's Mike and throughout the years as an LP fan with learning more and more about him he's like a friend of mine and I'm forcing myself to enjoy it.
That's the one thing keeping me from appreciating it as a whole. And then they have Juelz Santana on the mixtape? Fort Minor aint saving nobody from 'mainstream' music.

umm, wow. I'm definitely going to have to go back on what I said. I've listened to about the first 8 tracks of The Rising Tied, and.. it's a hell of a lot better than I expected. Some things that I haven't really liked so far: -The cursing seems a little forced. -Petrified. -Remember The Name. -The talking before/during/after the music. -Petrified. Lyrically, though, better than I thought from listening to those singles.
