Recentely in an interview with MTV.com, Mike revealed that Jay-Z might possibly drop a verse or two on the upcoming Fort Minor mixtape, "Fort Minor: We Major" ""I hit him with a text, 'Man, can you give me something for the mixtape?' Next thing I know, I checked my phone [and Jay sent a drop]." Whether or not this quote is actually stating that Jay-Z will appear on the mixtape, is yet to be known. Mike has stated in the past that he respects Jay-Z's retirement, but has never dismissed the possibility of Jay appearing on the Fort Minor mixtape. Due to the fact that Jay-Z does not appear on the tracklisting however, leads to the possibility that Jay-Z is not appearing on the mixtape after all. Moreover, to respect the possibility that it could be intended as a surprise, we are treating this as a rumor for now until the Mixtape premieres online for download next week. Yah it would be pretty sweet if he did make an appearance on the mixtape. Anyhow you say that the mixtape will be available for download and such next week. Does anyone know if it will be available to purchase in stores?
The title of the mixtape is just Fort Minor: We Major as seen on the artwork, the MTV article had it wrong and now they´ve corrected it. I think Jay will be in the intro or outro, i´m not expecting him to drop a whole verse.
I don't think Mike would say that unless Jay-Z is going to have something to do with it. So I would like to believe Jay-Z will be on it in some way or form. (Hopes for Jay-Z to say that he's got an album on the way in the outro. )
its no biggie if he does or doesnt.. im not a huge JayZ fan.. plus, i have a whole albume of JZ/LP stuff to keep me content hehehehe

I'm starting to think the mixtape will be available to the Fort Minor Militia first and because albums tend to drop on tuesdays, I think it will come out as early as tomorrow. Just my opinion/thoughts..
A mixtape drop is just a person, most likely notable or famous giving pros to whoever on a mixtape. No verse, I'm guessing.

On the 5 track mixtape that was sent out to the Militia, there's a short bit in the intro track that sounds JUST like Jay-Z. Not saying it's him, but for a while I had my suspicions. And that quote saying that Jay isn't on the mixtape could just be a way of making it a "surprise".
