Anti Virus Softwares

    Anybody got free anti virus softwares?
    Maybe you want to share it?
    To the LPA?
    Or even me :p

    i got Adaware
    spyware doctor
    and a special edition
    of norton antivirus
    which is a free 3 month trial

    I use Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE

    Website

    This helps to get rid of spyware etc

    I also have AVG installed

    Website

    Which I use as an Anti-Virus

    Excellent choice.


    By the way, Sotong, you REALLY should have an anti-virus installed on your computer. Relying on an online scan is very risky. You need a resident scanner that scans everything you open, like AVG.

    thats Norton its a free 90 day trial

    and this is spyware doctor works like a charm and always
    finds spyware

    and both of those are 100% free

    btw if ur using IE aka Internet Explorer use Firefox instead
    much safer and stronger

    Don't use any Symantec programs. They use too much memory and do the same thing any other AV does.

    As for spyware scanning goes, don't use any run of the mill spyware scanner, most of them are useless and can further screw you over. Use Ad Aware and Spybot S&D.

    Also, Microsoft antispyware is ok and only ok. It detects some things that other scanners don't, but it comes up with false positives, like MSN Plus!

    1. Norton Antivirus for virus protection (not free)
    2. Zone Alarm for a firewall (free)
    3. Lavasoft Ad-Aware for adware (free)
    4. Spybot for spyware (free)

    Err i got a little problem here..
    You see..
    My mouse gone mad.. I dont know why..
    I tried every scan I can use but it isin't helping :(
