I hate the F1 Key

    Here you go guys, a reason to make fun of your beloved webmaster Derek.

    I just spent an hour thinking I have a virus because the computer wouldnt work right and "Help" windows kept popping up. Sounds like a new virus right?

    Nope, yours truly goes down as the biggest moron in history. Here all this time I had a phone book resting on the F1 key causing help windows to continously pop up and "disk checking" in XP to not work(press any key and it cancels it, the F1 key was pressed) so I went into a panic, and then looked down...seeing my phone book was on the keyboard's F1 key.

    I froze for a second then fell off my chair in laughter. I can't believe this. I'm so bloody stupid. :lol: :teehee:

    This remotley links to computers...since we were in the ICT suites at the time this happened.

    Me and my friends used to have a trainee teacher for our ICT course lessons...and because we're all evil little b*****ds...we gave her hell.

    One day, one of the guys opposite me (I am literally the only girl in my whole group) picked up the plastic, detatchable part of his keyboard, waited until I passed and then *WHACK* right across my backside...I yelled, whirled around, got his mouse and threw it at his head. This sparked off a full brawl around the classroom, using actual keyboards, mousemats, mice, everything we could find...the poor teacher was just stood at the front fearing for her life :p

    I'm so nasty ^_^

    i actually sh!t myself when i seen that.my poop flew up and landed on the F1 key and i got pissed off cause i wasn't going to touch it.

    whenever we go to the computer room in economics, someone gets a cheap thrill out of disconnecting the mouse while someone is using it, so all of a sudden it looks like the computer's frozen. they actually restart the computer and then when someone tells them that the mouse was just disconnected, they usually get really pissed off. they also like to send messages to each other. when i had my cat ears on (long story) my friend sent me "MEEEEOOOOWWWWW' and i got so scared that it was my teacher!! aaah that was frightening.

    umm...once i accidentally caused my computer to crash ^^;; i don't rememeber exactly how this happened, only that it was my fault and i'm not allowed to do anything besides go on websites and IM people (although my mom doesn't know i do much more...:p)

    How much more? ;) :shifty:

    At my former high school, kids loved to steal the balls out of the mice so they wouldn't work. So they installed a new rule where once you were done with your computer, you had to turn the mouse upside-down and a staff member would check to see you didn't steal it.

    Yeah people are stealing all the mice in my computer class so our teacher doesnt trust us any more. He doesnt even give us one until half way through class.
