Due to the huge turnout of the 'NHL/ NHLPA reach agreement' thread I have noticed that there are quite a few hockey fans on this site. So me and Mark have decided that we should do a hockey pool on the sporting news with fellow LPAers. If you are interested let me know and we will set up a pool so that everyone will be able join the same one and compete against each other here in the LPA. First I'm just going to see how much interest this generates then providing ther is enough we will have a pool set up and ready to go for you to join. Here is the info you will need to know: Sporting News Fantasy Hockey this is the site you will go to to sign up. If you have not used this site before you will have to sign up and make a user account. After you have signed up and are logged in it will ask you to enter the name of your team, pick a team name and click OK. This next screen will have three options, click on the box thats says join existing league. In this box enter LPAssociation. When you do this you will be entered in the league. It may promt you to have a password and if so just ask me for the password and I shall give it to you. EDIT: Alright it turns out you do need a password, its "LPA", remember that is case sensitive.
I'm in. I joined as Gary Sheffield. Some asshole already made the Winnipeg Jets, so I made the Winnipeg Victorias (the team that won the Stanley Cup in 1903).
Damn, another Winnipegger? Shows how often I get a chance to get on these boards...alas, work sucks, although sometimes I get to make a guest appearance from there

I joined. It's really quite fun. You get $30M to spend on 7 players. After each gamenight, players statistics are updated and points are awarded for your selected players performance in that night's game. You get two trades per week. I was addicted to it last season. I'd advise joining for a little competition and some fun.
So it looks like were gonna need more than just 3 people to actually make this pool a challenge, so that i wont run away with the victory. So come on people sign up and show off your hockey knowledge.
Blasphemy. We need more than 3 people. I don't want to beat just 2 people. [/b][/quote] Oh it is so on, damn it more people, i'n on mr fricken knees begging. Oh well you have until october to sign up.
