The Final Monsoon Goodbye The lazy darkness caresses the threatening thunder, The cracking windows surrender to high pitched flashing wonder, As I huddle with you in the corner, awaiting midnight, Though the day has just begun, the first monsoon twilight. The roads outside on the city streets are wet yet complete, With the serenity of winds carrying the messages of lovers who never meet, The songs of the birds going unheard, the humans unhindered by this, You hold my palm within yours; cry as you see your name on my wrist. A sorrowful kiss comes falling upon my cheek moments after, My hands around your waist, seconds of immortal laughter, Then once more and for the last time comes another hug and humble kiss, And I long for it once more till today, a permanent prisoner of unforgettable bliss. very short compared to what i usually do. comments please....
I liked it. Sometimes shorter is better, because the longer you try to make it the more you begin to force words. B)
