That's the question many of us have been asking over the past few weeks where three different songs have been cited by various news sources as the debut single from Fort Minor. Well, here's the confirmation: "Believe Me" is not the debut single from 'The Rising Tied'. The bio posted on Fort Minor's official site and their official press release about the album are both wrong, according to the man himself, Mike Shinoda, on the official Fort Minor forums. "that thing about "believe me" being the 1st single was a mistake. obviously, remember the name and petrified are already out there." Considering that even the official site was wrong about this, we'll have to wait for Mike's word when the single title is revealed. In addition, Mike's answered alot of questions about 'The Rising Tied', including; -- "Where'd You Go?" will feature Machine Shop Records artist Holly Brook. -- 'The Rising Tied' will have "roughly fourteen tracks. give or take an interlude piece or short something." -- There will be a special edition of 'The Rising Tied' released on November 22nd with three bonus tracks and "maybe a DVD" -- He has not confirmed nor denied Laurent Briet's involvement in the new video, but photographic evidence says otherwise. -- Mike plans to release the finished video around the end of this month or early next month. -- Mike's supposed to do a cover shoot with URB magazine alongside Steve Aoki soon. This news is so bad ass. Thanks for the update. I still wouldn't doubt if Believe me was the first single, Mike is just trying to throw everyone for a loop.
I live in New Zealand, and the radio station here that plays all the 'new music' played Petrified last night, calling it Mike's new single. I'm not sure if that's true though, considering that they also said it was by, 'Mike Shinoda's new band'. They also said that they got their hands on it a week earlier than it was going to be released, and were probably going to be 'fired for it'. It wasn't bad, but I was hoping that Remember the Name would be Mike's first single because I must say that I'm not a big fan of Petrified. Anyway, I'm not sure what's going on, or how the radio station here got a hold of it, but it was the first time they played it, and I have it on tape. Really, I have no idea what to think.
iam not really fussed - RTN and Petrified are boh really good - and i'd imagine so would Believe Me, as well as the other tracks on TRT. not long to go now before the video gets some air play then? cant wait for that either. sounds pretty cool - special edition. i hope its a dvd or something along those lines. i like the way he said "maybe a dvd" because he must know by this stage. roll on November 21st/22nd
