I've been using nero to burn music albums, but i've just realised that it doesn't keep the tags, so when i go to play it on my computer, you don't know which song is which wihtout listening to them. What program does burn music and keep the tags?
Windows Media Player, iTunes, RealPlayer, MusicMatch. Your grudge against iTunes is gonna bite you in the ass later. iTunes actually does things a bit easier than other media players.
Yep. Burning CDs with iTunes is extremely easy. - Create a new playlist - Drag+Drop songs from library to playlist - Insert CD - Press the big (burn cd) button. - Sit back and wait. How easy is that?

it doesn't for me..... i HATE burning with iTunes.... if I want to just make a quik cd, it's a GREAT program, but if i want my ID3 tags to see what i'm playing(or to scroll quickly), I use Roxio
Real ones do. Otherwise how the hell do they know the artist name and song? .
There's CD-Text which is rarley used and rarley supported, which may be what they're talking about, however, there's no ID3 for audio CDs, ID3 is MP3 only.

Yeah, when you put a cd in, most sound cards or players use gracenote to determine the playlist using the cd's serial number. I was pretty damn sure you couldn't put an id3 tag on an audio cd. On an MP3 cd you can because you're not formatting the cd to audio, you're simply burning the files onto the cd where another device can decode them.

If you're burning a custom mix, the reason the titles arent showing up is because your custom CD isn't in CDDB.
