"LAMB OF GOD has returned home from an unprecedented successful touring cycle for their current album Ashes of the Wake. “Home again – first time in a long time,” comments drummer Chris Adler. “The time we’ve spent on the road supporting Ashes of the Wake have been some of the best shows and times of our lives. We want to thank everyone from the promoters to the fans for making these shows and this album cycle something we will never forget. We are flattered and amazed by the support from our friends and fans across the world – we could never thank you enough. Had we been told several years ago that we would be playing arenas and headlining festivals, we all would have laughed. This was, and is still in our minds, our underground, underdog garage metal band where we are able to create music that we love and have a blast playing shows. Not one of us ever expected to be able to take it or that it would ever grow to the level we are at today – and the thanks go to each and every one of the people that have got on board and support LAMB OF GOD. We are very fortunate to be where we are and we will continue giving it everything we have. The plan from here is to get to work on the next LAMB OF GOD record. We are planning about a month of shows in Europe at the end of the year, but in the meantime we’re going to bunker down and begin the writing process. There are already some killer ideas being thrown around and we are all looking forward to pushing ourselves beyond what we have already done and writing a very heavy record.
