Taken from MTV.com: Nearby, Yellowcard's Ryan Key moseyed up to the bar and shook hands with Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington. The three chatted for a minute, then pulled out their BlackBerries and exchanged numbers. I think that something maybe in the works possible. I always thought Yellowcard and LP were somewhat similar in a way, and their both some of my favourite bands. What do you think?
I think that just because a couple of guys from different bands shake hands and exchange numbers, doesn't mean they will be working together. Maybe they just get a long well and want to be friends. I don't think they'll ever work together, they'll probably play shows together at some point maybe, but that's as far as it will go in my opinion.
It's a respect thing, really. A lot of artists do that. I'm sure that most of the numbers in their "little black books" are never used or called unless they want to get together and party or something random like that. You never know, though.
i was more hinting at a tour with the two, i think alot of linkin park fans like yellowcard, i do, plus alot of my friends. They have their similarities. Since Yellowcard is a fresh new band, I have a hunch that Linkin Park would be interested in touring with Yellowcard, and bringing them along. The collaboration was a bit farfetched, but you never know if they would want chester to maybe guest vocal on their new cd
I don't think they'll make a mash-up album with them, just because they greeted each other doesn't mean they will be. Everyone jumps to decisions, ''LP MIGHT MASH-UP WITH SOMEONE BECAUSE THEY SAID HELLO TO EACH OTHER!!!''.
Personally, I hate Yellowcard. So, I would despise any sort of collaboration with them whatsoever. I wouldn't mind them touring with Linkin Park, but I definitely wouldn't want to see them.
i think a tour of both would be great. alot of my friends like [LP], as well as Yellowcard. i hope there is a tour soon, as i missed [LP] ( I Live In The Dallas Area) grrrr, i won't pass it again!!
Linkin Park doing anything what so ever with Yellowcard would be fucking disgusting. My liking for Linkin Park would greatly go down. Yellowcard is trash. The thought of this just ruined my day.
This same thing happened when people saw Chester talking to Kanye West at Live 8. Everyone was like "OMG Kanye's gonna collab with LP!" or "Kanye must be on Fort Minor!"
