Anyone know any good Video Editing Software.

And before you say "Try download.com" I already did, they all suck.

It'd be rather helpful if it's free too. It's not a total problem if it isn't *cough*ResHack*cough*

I second Adobe Premier Pro, it is the best video editing software I have used to date.

For simple merge and cuts, TMPGEnc works for MPEGs, though I don't particularly like it. For encoding, Canopus Procoder is amazing for MPEGs, I've heard good things about CCE for avi's though have no personal experience with it.

Virtual Dub can be decent for applying video filters.

I use multiple programs depending on the task, but the Adobe suite in general is the overall best, and they link together flawlessly.

    windows movie maker !

    jk of course...

dunno... if you're looking for VERY simple stuff just to do some neat video compiling and stuff, VEGAS is pretty straightforward

(i only say this since you know from the posts above to use adobe and stuff, so im throwing another one out there for you to look into)

I use Pinnacle Studio 9. Beware however, a fast computer is necessary to use this program. Also some of the cool features are very stupidly designed. They are really cool like the DVD menus and chroma key, but are very hard to configure under the specific circumstances I had to face. It does what it says though.
