Today in a statement from their official website, The Rosewood Fall have announced that they will be releasing a double CD set, featuring all of their best recorded works to date. According to The Rosewood Fall, this will total to around 40 songs, all of which the fans will be able to hear in the upcoming weeks. (For those who are unaware: The Rosewood Fall were signed to Linkin Park's "Machine Shop Records" label after band member Dave Farrell got a hold of the demo from one of The Rosewood Fall bandmates (who he had known from his former band The Snax). Dave presented the demo to his bandmates, and The Rosewood Fall was later signed to the band's label.) The double CD set "Stereo Left" and "Stereo Right" will be released in two parts and ONLY through their official site with the first CD "Left" becoming availible on August the 16th and the second ("Right") coming on August 30th. These releases will include all new songs, previously unreleased demos as well as recordings of some of their best live tracks. However, due to reasons beyond the band's control this will be the final album to be released from The Rosewood Fall (or perhaps the last for a very long time). Personal reasons have caused the band to currentely disband for the time being, and although a future re-grouping has not been dismissed, this will be the only TRF material availible for at least the next couple of months. In a statement from the band themselves: "It saddens us to officially announce that The Rosewood Fall has collectively decided to discontinue being a band. It was a very painful decision that was not easy to make, but some personal issues had arisen in the band that needed special attention. In the end this is a group of five close friends who happen to make music together. Our friendships and wellbeing outweigh our future with The Rosewood Fall...." It should be noted that the personal issues have not publically been announced at this time, and the band/LPA would prefer for the fans to refrain from discussing reasons for the band's disbanding. The officially released tracklisting for "Left" comprises of the following tracks: 67:1- This is My Ruin - Midnight on Horatio St - Last Dance - Awake All You Who Slumber - Driving Salinas - Break Out - How It Happened - Anthem - Sick Nationalistic - Coming Up For Air - A Beginning To No Ending - Coming Home Soon However in an exclusive from the band themselves, LPA has acquired the (yet to be officially released) tracklising for the second CD "Right": I Flood - Pictures of Faultlines - Grace - Saturnine - 25 Years - Below Your Window - Headlight - Recycled Air - Come on and Rise - Again (live on 92.9 KJEE) - If Your Friend was Drowning You'd Help Him Wouldn't You? - Rediscovering Omaha - A Beginning to no Ending - Sick Nationalistic Please be aware that the tracklisting for the second CD has yet to be finalized, and that more/less tracks may appear on the final cut. At this time it is not clear as to whether the breakup will be permanent or temporary. We here at the LPA will keep you updated as more information becomes availible.
Not meaning to rip on the article but you might want to specify a relevance to LP earlier in the post because I had no idea what the relevance of this article was until the 2nd last paragraph.
Yeah, I almost made a post saying "What in the fuck is a Rosewood, and why would I care about it falling into a stereo?". Then I read the last paragraphs.
Iam shocked most of you guys dont know this band All I have to say about the band breaking up is Boo-urns.
There, happy? [/b][/quote] I didn't mean to be rude, It was just a bit unclear as to what The Rosewood fall actually was for the majority of the article. I'll know to keep my mouth shut next time.
What I want to know is can you find any of their albums anywhere. I just now found this band last week and they're great. I'm sure i'll be getting these albums too but I don't like the fact that you can only get them off their website.
ha! they haven't even started yet and they're quiting? Thats a bummer, they could've actually went somewhere with their music.
It's just personal issues, which the band is putting before the music. None of them hate eachother, and the breakup wasn't due to fighting. It's just they're taking some time to deal with these issues before pushing on as a band.
Too bad they're splitting up. I really like Bridges Underwater and Again. I think i'll be getting this.
As much as I love their music and their stage presence, I have to respect them for choosing friendship over fame!
