Former SOiL frontman Ryan McCombs has officially joined Drowning Pool to replace Jason Jones. An official announcement is expected soon. The band will make their debut with McCombs at the August 25/Dallas, TX "Ozzfest" show.
I find it funny how wookubus says "officially" when it's nowhere near official yet. He really needs to stop stealing news/rumors from other sites and then pronouncing them as official. That's just my opinion, though It does seem pretty certain that he's the new guy, though. He sure did feed SOiL fans a bunch of BS.
Well I think it's true because the bassist for Soil (Tim King) is like pissed off that this has happened and left a statement at Digital-Noise.com (I got what he said though from Ultimate-Guitar.com though)
Same here... it was really crappy of him to leave because of his family, say he'd never go back to music, and then go to DP... I mean, way to be a jerk about the situation, Ryan.
I'm sad happy at the moment, happy that i can hear Ryan again in Drowning Pool, but sad he isn't with Soil, he should be back with them if he's doing anything, but even so, i look forward to hearing him with Drowning Pool.
I was just on the Soil homepage seeing if I could get anymore info on the matter (even though I didn't find any) I came a across a new music video on their site called Give it up and I have to say I don't think Soil will miss Ryan much, their new vocalist sounds very much alike to him (IMO). But the band still won't be the same without him.
