I've allways wondered if there was on Bob Marley fans here at LPA. I look at the Music forums and it's usually allways focused on Rock or Rap. I've wondered about Reggae. I've allways been a huge Bob Marley fan, I think his music is amazing, and if you haven't listened to him you should listen to him now.

Talk about Bob Marley or any other Reggae bands you can voice here for other people to try out. :p

I've never even heard any of Bob Marleys songs. I didn't know he sang reggae. :teehee:

Hmm... I don't really listen to Reggae. But, I do like Sean Paul. He sings pretty good.

You know whats been really popular around where I live? ... Reggaeton. It's like the spanish version of Reggae.

Daddy Yankee is a popular Reggaeton artist. You can check him out here:

    http://www.daddyyankee.com/

(When you enter the site, the song"Like You" starts playing. It's not a great example of a good Reggaeton song, so skip to the next song--it's much better. ;))

I liked the cover of one of his songs, by Pablo somebody? The Baby come back one...

"Baby come back, ba-ba-bye-bye-bye-bye-ba-ba-bye-bye, Come back! With my color TV & my CD collection of Bob Marley..."

 Yeah, that one. Come to think of it, it probably wasn't even a cover.

Not to be rude or anything but why did you post in this topic just to say you don't know who Bob Marley is and then start going off topic with something else?

Your relevance to this topic is nonsensical as well.

A lot of my friends like Bob Marley, and many of them have tried to get me into his music. I can tolerate it, I have an album I ripped from my friends collection on my computer. I wouldn't buy one of his CDs for myself though. I really do like "The Redemption Song" though.

My best girlfriend Carrie and I affectionately call one another "Bob" and "Marley".

I love Bob Marley's music, it always seem to put in me in the mood for whenever, wherever. Not to mention it's quite entertaining to "jam" to. <333

Well, sorry for going offtopic BUT Anya DID SAY:
I wouldn't have wrote all of that stuff if that wasn't asked. <_<

And by the way, I never said I didn't know who Bob Marley was. I just said I've never heard any of his music.

I was raised on Bob Marley. My mom used to put it on when I was a little kid and she would clean the house and sing along. Whenever I have a Bob Marley record playing, I can't listen to anything else or interrupt it until the record is over. I love Bob Marley.

Reggae is one of my favorite types of music, along with folk and punk. My other two favorite reggae artists are Jimmy Cliff and Desmond Dekker. Riki Rocksteady is a great local reggae singer, I would check him out if you dig Bob Marley or Sublime.

    Yay for reggae.

Yeah same here at my school. Allthough i'm not a stoner, I still can very much enjoy his music.

    Main songs people should download:

    Could You Be Loved
    Is This Love
    Pass the Dutchie
    Don't Worry About a Thing
    Get Up Stand Up
    Stir It Up
    Redemtion Song
    Trenchtown Rock
    Jammin'
    Buffalo Soldier

Whoever hasn't listened to Bob Marley, I suggest trying these songs.. they're pretty much the best one's in my opinion. :p

If there's any others people think they should add, please do so.

I have a Bob Marley disc kicking around somewhere. We got it by accident when my dad's stereo/TV was fixed. When we got it back, there it was.
