See more in the 'News' forum if you would like to know more about the upcoming 'Live 8'.

OK. What songs do you think Linkin Park will get to play. Now, they would get many, probolly only 6, hopefully more. I think they will play the songs in this oreder:

    0. Opening
    1. Lying From You
    2. Somewhere I belong
    3. Papercut
    4. Points Of Authority
    5. In The End
    6. One Step Closer

    What do you think?

Jay-Z and Linkin Park are playing at the same Live 8 show so that means they'll probably do Collision Course stuff, either that or.......LP will play a normal set with their own songs and they'll come out during Jay-Z's set and do a song from CC there won't be more than 1 or 2 CC songs performed because Jay-Z has said himself that he wants to do a song with The Roots if they ever tour together and guess who else is playing Live 8.............The Roots

According to a post from Mike on the Fort Minor boards, Jay wanted LP to collab with him and The Roots, so here's what I'm thinking:

LP will do a 20 minute-ish set on their own, probably like:

    Papercut
    Somewhere I Belong
    Breaking the Habit
    Crawling
    In the End

Then my prediction is Jay will come out, and his set will combine with LP's, so it'll be like this:

Dirt off Your Shoulder/Lying from You
    Jigga What/Faint
    Numb/Encore
X-Ecutioner Style - Extended version featuring The Roots and an additional verse from Jay-Z
Points of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer

I'm assuming LP will collab with The Roots and Jay if Jay wanted it to happen, and since Black Thought already worked on X-Ecutioner Style, it's the most likely song they'll do.

No. Pink Floyd's set, despite them only playing 3 songs, will probably be longer than Linkin Park's set.

Then why did they play CC songs at the New Jersey Projekt Revolution show and the Music for Relief show? I think the whole thing about Chester not liking CC is a big rumor that was made up to fuel the equally fake rumors that he's leaving the band.

Am I the only one that thinks they're just going to play all of their hits?

In the order of how they were released...

    One Step Closer
    Crawling
    In The End
    Somewhere I Belong
    Faint
    Numb
    Breaking The Habit

Yes, because with Jay-Z and the Roots there, there's bound to be collaboration since they've worked together before.

I really dont get why anyone really trusts "The Sun" for news anymore. Know it or not, 90% of the stories we have posted from them have turned out to be false. That's why we no longer really bother with shit that's posted from "The Sun".

Heck, their Live 8 Linkin Park rumor wasn't true until 50 Cent dropped from the bill, which was literally at the last minute.

The concert is only about 6 hours long if I remember right, so at best their set will probably only be 20-30 minutes long. And considering how you can fit all of Meteora OR Hybrid Theory in a little over 30 minutes (their albums are pitfully short) I dont think you've got to worry about a small setlist.

I predict some classics, maybe a new song or two and something from Mike offa Fort Minor. That's how I see it.
