hey guy i dont know if you have heard of these just yet - they are pretty new to the game. fightstar have been together for a while but only recently stated putting their music out for people to hear without visiting their website. one of their members is a guy called Charlie Simpson who was in a well know British pop band called busted. again iam not too sure if you have heard of them... busted played pure pop music with guitars (not good). and now charlie got sick and decided to go full time with the band he had on the side. they released a single when they released their EP a while back entitled Palahniuk's Laughter which got them noticed, and they have are coming back releasing their second single called Paint Your Target, and it available to listen too on their site www.fightstarmusic.com their video to go along side Paint Your Target has been banned from all the major tv channels as it was seen to portray violence in the school environment. however if you want to see the video, certain site such as kerrang.com and nme.com have it up on there. they are well worth a glance at and hope their new sinlge does well in the UK chart. it will be released on June the 13th and will be on cd, dvd an vinyl formats. Fightstar is: Alex Westaway - Vocals/ Guitar Charlie Simpson - Vocals/ Guitar Dan Haigh - Bass Omar Abidi - Drums
Not bad. I might get their album when it comes out. It reminds me of simple plan crossed with blink 182 and nickelback for some reason.
Of the three songs I've heard, Speak Up is pretty good but Mono and Palahnuik's Laughter aren't so great. Of course, I've been looking to check out their new video, what with it being banned.
My mate took me to see them live last week, they put on a preetty good show, I even caught charlies towel which I later got signed by the supporting act Laruso who stole the show by a long shot, go check them out, I advise you.
Meh, thay're okay. I'm not a big fan of Charlies voice though. I've heared worse but i've also heared a lot better.
this band does suit charlies voice more than it did in Busted. his voice just didn't seem to go with the other two guys in the band. the band is ok but nothing spectacular...
