My Chemical Romance have written eight songs for their next album, which the group hopes to record by the end of the year. Gerard Way had this to say: "I imagine we'll write in the high 30s and pick our favorites, whereas last time we only wrote about 16 songs, if that. We know what we do well, but theres some more risks being taken, slower tempos, heavier stuff, more of an arena-rock element that was hinted at on the last record."
Already? Has Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge even been out for a year yet? I noted they said "by the end of the year" but still. Meh. Whatever floats their boat.
I believe Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was released on June 8, 2004, so, almost a year. It's rather quick, but I'm cool with it. Their new album should probably be out around early 2006.
Nirvana released 4 albums in three 3 years I believe. Should be an interesting CD, I only like a few songs from MCR.
Nirvana released 4 albums in three 3 years I believe. Should be an interesting CD, I only like a few songs from MCR. [/b][/quote] Nirvana released five albums over four years and only three of which were studio releases, the others were an unplugged and a B-sides album, but three albums in four years is still quick. But as for MCR, they're a funny band with me, on minute I quite like them and the next I can't stand the sound, it all depends on tyhe mood I'm in, so I'm not sure whether I'll be checking out their new album or not.
They're also coming to the UK at the beginning of November but if anyone wants tickets, I recommend buying them today because they wenet onsale this omrning and are nearly sold out already!
Thats pretty awesome. With MCR CDs, I tend to enjoy them emmensely for about two months and then I only listen to them occasionaly after that. But Im excited about this. Im hoping for a bigger, more elaborate sound, with more complicated guitar. I really dig MCRs sound as far as guitar. Im expecting them to go in a more Queen like direction, and that would rock my socks off to the tenth degree...
Not a bad band... just not a huge fan of their's. If it's good I'll buy it, though. A little off-topic (don't get too mad at me, please! ), but does anyone else hate it when people use the abbreviations for bands when they're actually talking (read: not typing, text-messaging, etc)? Sorry, but I remember overhearing some kids saying "Oh my gawd, MCR is the most amazing band ever!" (or something like that) and I wanted to punch them.
I do that. It's just easier and usually, people know what you're talking about. If they don't know MCR, I usually use the full name though.
