George Lucas is one of the luckiest people in Hollywood. Star Wars, as it now seems, is only as popular as it is because of the limitations set on Lucas's creativity. The original trilogy had great acting. The problem here was not of the actors, but an out of touch director who tried too hard to make each line sound epic. Yes, there were too many CG effects and transitions. My last point: Lucas's best contribution to film has been the THX certification and the creation of Skywalker Ranch. After all, someone who can't move on from one great film they made over 20 years ago is very scared of generating new ideas...
Im not saying that Lucas cannot use CG....far from it... The battle ships and such were amazing!! But its called calm the hell down with the effects....just becuase you have the best technologies out there doesnt mean you should make everything look like an XBOX game. And the original three actually had great acting considering it was the 70's......As for Darth Vaders voice.....it sure as hell doesnt sound like James Earl Jones...so I'll have to check on that.... But I still thought this movie was average at best. One movie I thought handled CG affects near perfect was the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (that movie had great control with switching between cg and real) edit- these are all my opinions so dont feel discouraged...I just think with the money lucas has...he can afford to get some real soldier outfits and some decent actors, but oh well. If people like it thats cool, I'll just stick with the original three.)
It costs less to make soldiers on the computer then to hire 2,000 people... and real people aren't always up to the challenge of flying into 7 pieces after a lightsaber squabble. Calm down on effects? Star Wars was founded on it's effects, the greatest of it's time. Let em show off, tell em that space battle wasn't freakin' flawless. Yes, it's James Earl Jones. Star Wars switched off between computer effects and real people, frequently, Lord of the Rings had more people, but not the technology LucasArts had at it's disposal. (my retaliation opinoins, no harm intended) B)

NO HE DOESNT. Sounds totally different, its not James Earl Jones and I know that for a fact. Lucas only wanted Hayden Christensen to do everything, thats why they didnt get David Prowse to be Darth Vader again and they made the Darth Vader suit for Hayden Christensen. James Earl Jones was signed to do the voice again for Darth Vader but Lucas pulled him out at the last moment because he wanted Hayden Christensen to do everything. It sounds nothing like James Earl Jones and at times you can clearly tell its Hayden Christensen. If you still dont believe me then tell me why isnt James Earl Jones in the credits? You can trust me on this I know more about Star Wars than your average fan. I waited a f**king day for episode 3 to come out waiting outside in the cold and I've seen it 4 times since its opened.
i will get back to you on that one. I do belive you. I just need to watch it again *Fires up DVD player. What?
Don't need to go angst man, we get your point. And yes, I agree with Mcnasty. Lucas specifically wanted Hayden to do everything. He put him in the suit, he obviously altered his voice to sound like Darth Vader. James Earl Jones should have done that though. The big Nooo at the end killed the moment, and I'm sure J.E.J would have preferred not to do that.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0121766/fullcredits Scroll down, it says he is uncredited. It does sound like him. I'm pretty sure SW nerds would have rioted if JEJ hadn't done the voice.
I was about to post that link. Lucas knows the riot he would get if JEJ didn't do the voice. And anyways, no amount of editing could make Hayden sound remotly like the Darth, in my opinion.
wow, I just go slapped in the face. Nice work proving me wrong. That came to a total shock to me as it sounds nothing like JEJ in the movie. But yea learn something new everyday.....and again........
In an HBO special they interviewed James Earl Jones and asked him how he felt doing the voice after so many years. No back talk! B) I think you all just got served...
Holy shit. I just bought the rereleased Trilogy box set today, and at the end of Return of the Jedi when they show the ghosts of Obi-wan, Yoda and Anakin, they replaced the old guy Anakin with Hayden Christensen!
If James Earl Jones is Uncredited........then how does that website know whether he did the voice or not if he wasnt in the credits? Not trying to be a smart ass, just curious because I did look that up, The websites not an official website either so I am skeptical...... I work with different sound equipement so you CAN make someone sound somewhat like Darth Vader. However....James Earl Jones has a distinct almost 'accent' in his voice. Maybe he had a cold or something if it was him.
OK George Lucas
Shut up, smartass. Just because you dont think it is him when it CLEARLY is, doesnt mean youre right.

Christ calm down dude.......Im just trying to discuss the evidence and talk about this as maturly as possible.....I am open to the fact that it could be James Earl Jones....Just didnt sound like it to me. Lets Breath and be calm
