In beginning of the 00s, they were still popular, despite not even recording shit. They are overrated in my opinion, sorry. One opinion against yours, I guess. 3.) See #1.

I haven't listened to much of it, other than Reign In Blood and God Hates Us All. From what I heard, they're pretty good, nothing too insanely extraordinary from my view. I just get a little bored listening to their albums, which is common for me when listening to metal now. I used to really love metal, and I still do, but I'm getting a little sick of it.

Well to tell you frankly Linkin Park is an overrated band.Sure HT is one of the best albums ever made but after that they have pretty much sucked. A Computer + A singer from a boyband = Linkin Park
Depends how you look at it. First off that computer remark is ridiculous. Meteora wasn't that great but as simple as Linkin Park may sound, to recreate their music its nearly impossible.

Slayer are pretty good. I've not really got into them though, but from what i've heared they seem pretty respectful.
