Treading the water that feeds the body, lost in thought, wandering along the sand.
The requiem playing in the background, at the site of mourning and lament.
False gods and idols that we worship, beg us to follow the natural path to death.
Wondering if destruction is our destiny, I calmly walk in search of our fate…
The bleak wrath that we deserve for living, I crave nurturing over discipline…
Tears that rage out of black eyes, flood the façade portraying scorn
Pain of human nature laughs and taunts this burning hunger of escape
This passion and determination to end the suffering…
That roars with the fury and contempt of our dark lord, our black king.
Sadly misunderstood as the absence of love, the deceiver…
God is the one in the corner bound and gagged…
Creating more ways to judge and control our way of life.

Serenity is rare in a world of war.
Tranquility that I plead for never coming to my side.
Apprehension that takes control as desperation builds…
Fear takes place as nerves are numb to the pain
Conflict that raises enjoyment and pleasure…
    Fetishes of euphoria and ecstasy…
    Uncontrollable acts of insanity…
Passing through my mind in quick flashes of elucidation

I’m frozen in this flesh, and it’s getting colder…
    Love has become extinct…
As everything continues to become restless and mystified
And everything continues to end at one question…
    Are you afraid to die?

Sounds like something by Cradle to Filth to me...and you know what that means - long, drawn-out ballads full of big words and dark meanings.
    I like it :)

I like CoF from what I've heard of them. I've only heard some stuff from Nymphetamine (the album, not the song...But I've also heard the song.)

    Anyways, thank you both. :)
