Cradle Of Filth

Since '03 I've listened to pretty much every type of rock music there is. After lovin LP 4 like 2 years now, I've bought about 25 cds full of the likes of Limp Bizkit, Nickleback,Slipknot, Metallica, Muse, Murderdolls, SOAD, Nirvana, My Chemical Romance and even Eminem! But out of all the albums I possess, Nymphetamine by Cradle Of Filth has got to be the heaviest gothic love song collection ever. I strongly recommend buying it as it f*ckin rools. All you lyric writers out there, this hour long collection of love songs is just the inspiration you need. Je-sus this album is good. Anyway hope u buy it!

CoF aren't too heavy for me, no way, I just prefer other bands.

 

I just can't stand that kind of music. Too heavy, and too gothic. Plus, any band that can have a t-shirt that says "Jesus is a C**t" (the shirt says the word) on it sickens me to death.

 

I prefer Dimmu Borgir and The Concubine over Cradle Of Filth.

 

Cradle of Filth are good, certainly not too heavy. Maybe I woulda called them too heavy for my tastes 5 years ago, but back then I wasn't into that kind of music.

Assuming Cradle of Filth is too heavy for someone because they like Linkin Park is just... wrong in many ways.

 

I love Cradle of filth. Nyphetamine was a great album but it was their weekest release IMO, but Damnation and a day I certainly think was their masterpiece.

I even got the chance to see them live a few weeks ago.

 

I love how the thread description says CoF is "too heavy" for us, yet the first thing in the first post of this thread is the Mike smiley...

 

Exactly. Cradle of Filth are good, but listen to Dimmu Borgir, Strapping young Lad and CoB instead.

Cradle Of Filth are good,from the first minute I heard of 'Her Ghost In The Fog' I knew I liked them,Nymphetamine is also a great album

 

Hey CoF fuckin rules.They aren't too heavy for me cause i listen to Maiden,Priest Sabbath and other Brit bands and the the bands i mentioed r kick ass too.

 

Maiden,Priest and Sabbath are,IMO,no way near as heavy as COF

But it is true that most of the great bands are brits

I also went to see Cradle of Filth at their Wolverhampton show. I retract my comment about it being too heavy 4 u guys. After all, I listen 2 LP aswell. I just didn't know what to expect when I brought up COF. Rock On Cradle Of Filth. Anybody got the 2-disc edition of Nymphetamine?

Cradle Of Filth are pretty damn good. I only know a select few songs but what i do know, i love. They're certainly not really heavy, i listen to heavier stuff, but yeah, they're pretty dark.

 

Sorry but whenever I say this style of music isnt my thing people are always like "oh its too heavy for you", well since when are bad and heavy synonyms? Just sometimes music can get too dark. I listen to some Slipknot and other heavy metal bands like and theyre heavy.

EDIT: cooljelly, if misanthropists are coming, that would mean they are in some form of group...I thought they hate humankind..why would they form a group of humans in the sake of hating humans? Kinda oxymoronish if you ask me
