Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington's collaboration with limpbizkit's DJ Lethal on the track "State of the Art" will be featured in the upcoming 'Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball MAX'D' video game. The game, which will be released via Activision Inc., will feature the first album quality version of the track. The song was first premiered on radio last summer, and then doubt over the release of DJ Lethal's album surfaced, leading fans to fear they may be stuck with the ad-littered radio rip provided by us and other Linkin Park fansites. Alas, we now have confirmation the song will be released through an official source.

Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball MAX'D will be released on all three platforms (Gamecube, PS2, Xbox) in Fall 2005.

Cant wait :D , the first greg hastings was alright, better than any other paintball game ive played. But, it was a little choppy, so lets hope they clean up the gameplay a bit. My three favorite things, paintball, linkin park, and video games, now on one easy to find cd

I've been wondering what ever happened to State of the Art. I remember hearing that DJ Lethal was going to hold back on the album and possibly not bring out at all. Then, heard The Walking Dead and thought the same thing may happen. Chester taking a chance one DJ saying he may not release the album. Then, taking a chance on another DJ not knowing if the same thing may happen. Though, I wouldn't really think that DJ Z-Trip would do that 'cause him and the band go way back. Anyway, I guess I was wrong which is awesome 'cause I love both songs.

    I'll shup now.

No you didn't. There's only one version, and that's the one that was ripped from the radio broadcast. The "album version" that's been floating around is a remix made by a fan who looped instrumental sections of the song over where the radio ads were.

I wish people would stop throwing around the word 'remix' when they don't even know what it is. Tasta, there's a fine line between an edit and a remix. That 'remix' is an edit.

There are 2 versions of State of The Art a promo and a Album version.
The difference between the promo and the album version is that you hear some strange sounds by the promo version from these:'the sound of the future' and 'scratch answer' etc.

there isnt a promo or an album version. One is just a remix, and the sound of the future belongs to the radio station where its ripped from.

Even though XVZ necroposted this up, it made me remember that the album version of State of the Art was supposed to be in this game, so I looked it up, and apparently it's coming out on 2/1/06 now, guess it got delayed.

*Edit* Long-delayed response, but Cameron, I call it a remix because the guy that made it titled it "State of the Art (No Ads Remix)" himself.
