Sweet death murmurs promises in my ear
I will lose this battle within my soul I fear
Everything dies, my heart is no different…
My mind is a recluse that hides from everything…
    Celebrate this…sweet death, sweet escape
Cut away this … life of fear, life of hate…
Misery that confronts my pitiful being…
    He pulls me closer…
    The stench of sulfur breath…
Speaking to me, telling me not to be afraid
Don’t stay here, come with me…
    I’ll keep you safe, I’ll keep you…

    Negativity swelling inside me…
I try to block it out, I try to put on a happy face…
I pray that there is more behind…
    What we now see…
    But I don’t believe in the possibility…
    Of a higher being…
    Because every time I pray…
I wake up to the same fucking thing
    Murder
    War
    Famine
    Suicide
    DEATH

My death will not solve anything
Except the pain that swells inside my aching soul
Except the hate that surrounds my body
    Except everything that harms me.

Sweet death whispers these words that nothing could ever replace
Sweet death, whimpering inside each tear that I cry…
Sweet death, oh sweet death, take me away…
So that I may be with you…keeping me safe.

Oh that's nice of you, but I've played bass for 5 years and guitar for 4 years, and my friend who also plays guitar is trying to start a band with me, so we would probably write music to it. But hell, I don't care... so shit if you want to write a tab go ahead. :) If you do, get a hold of me, I'd like to hear it.

a bit here, a bit there; been trying to think of a good riff to open with for the past 20 minutes, not much, but you can't rush creativity, right

Well this is what I made for it...

    Guitar
Standard tuning EADGBE (low to high)
Tempo: 70 (I don't know if you have a metronome.)

    Clean w/Light chorus

    E:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    B:----------3-------------------3-------------------3---------------------3--------
    G:-------0----0-------------0----0--------------0----0---------------0----0-----
    D:----4---------4--------4---------4---------4----------4---------4----------4---
    A:--2-------------2---2-------------- 2----2---------------2----2---------------2
    E:0-----------------0--------------------3---------------------3-------------------

    clean
    E:----------------------------------------------------------------
    B:----------------------------------3-0----2~~~-------------------
    G:------0-------0-------0------0-------2-3~~~------------------
    D:---2-------2-------2------2--------------------------------------
    A:3-------3-------3-------3----------------------------------------
    E:-------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, well that's not working out so well. If you want to see it just copy/paste it into word and fix the lines to where the letter is at the front.

instead for the last part, try this:

    clean
    E:--------------------------------------00000---00000---0--------------------
    B:------------------------1--5--3--1----11111---00000---1--------------------
    G:------0--4--2--0-----2----------------00000---00000---0--------------------
    D:---2--------------3--------3-----2----22222---22222---2--------------------
    A:3---------------------------------------------22222------------------------
    E:---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    let the last chord ring

copy into notepad for the correct view

Eh, it's not bad, it reminds me of rugrats though. It doesn't fit the mood of the rest of the song, it's upbeat and happy sounding. Don't take that as a insult, it's still good, just doesnt fit.

Yeah...I don't know why it reminds me of Rugrats, it just does.

I actually have what I've written (plus more) of this song on a MIDI program, with bass, lead guitar, and drums, if you'd like to hear it and get more of a feel for it.

yeah, I'd like to hear it

I have rewritten what I had changed of your's, see if this fits:

    clean
    E:-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    B:--------------------------------------------------4444-------------------------
    G:------0--1--0--------0--1--3--1-------------------4444-------------------------
    D:---1----------1----1-------------2--------2-------2222-------------------------
    A:3----------------2------------------2-------2----------------------------------
    E:-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    again, notepad
also, if anyone can, find an alternative to my power chords (i get sick of them, but they work)

I like it a lot more than the other one you had, the only problem I have is that the way I'm playing it, it seems the chords just come out of nowhere and don't mix with the rest of what you wrote.

I know this is a double post, but it must be done.
Here is a revised version (no more power chords, yay!)

bass (after the guitar, not sure how

    clean many times)
    E:--------------------------------------
    B:-------------------------------------- G-----------------------------------
    G:------0--1--0--------0--1--3--1------- D--------22222-----------22222------
    D:---1----------1----1-------------2---- A-------3-----3333------3-----3333--
    A:3----------------2------------------2- E-111111----------000000------------
    E:--------------------------------------

just put it in notepad (again)
