Chester To Appear at Indy 500

    Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington has been invited as a VIP guest to Indianapolis 500 race later this month. Chester, an avid racing fan, will be on a float in the 500 Festival Parade, and riding shotgun in a two-seater race car before the race begins. Congrats on the opportunity, Chester! The Indianapolis 500 takes place Sunday, May 29th.

    Cool. One problem with this. The Indy 500 isn't a Nascar event. You might want to fix that.

    As for the actual event, I hate all auto-racing, and Chester Bennington doesn't have enough influence on me to change that.

    Hope he wins though, I guess. Unless Ashlee Simpson is racing against him.

    Buuut anyway. It would be cool to see him the national anthem, or whatever its called :lol:

    I believe it's a mix of IRL, Champ Car and whatever else is out there. It's a big event for all indy racers or whatever. I'm more of a NASCAR guy, so I know very little about the open wheel series and stuff.

    Pretty cool deal! Had no idea Chaz was a racing fan! (w00t)

    I can't believe that CHazy's coming to Indiana. I just read the article from the Indianapolis Star :D Too bad I live 129 miles northeast of Indy (I might try to rent a car or something and go down there to the pre race shtuff. I hope the Ind. Star gets alot of good pix. (*goes and asks mom if I can borrow the car*)

    That's cool that he gets to ride shotgun in the car. For a brief moment, I thought he was going to sit on a float-like device, waving his hands like some pop sensation. *shudders* Ok that's out of my system now. :teehee:

    Ugh, I hate Indy/Nascar/etc with a passion and would rather see a Supra and a 3000GT go at each other in a drag race just to get their ass kicked by a 360 Modena, but its cool that he gets the opportunity
