I'm hoping for tomorrow A new beginning For now I'm walking blind Searching for the answers Tomorrow maybe I will find... Truth in one christ I'm hoping for a way out... of this world that is drowning Drowning in sorrow Rotten and decaying I am praying Save us I'm praying for peace god, if your there save us Before this creation is extinct Save this violent, cannabalistic population We are eachothers prey Sever the addiction I'm dreaming of tomorrow In a world of no violence Where love and compassion reign In a world where we are brothers In a world of no hate Tomorrow... Oh I can't wait A New beginning Pray with me Kill life Our enemy Seek out the truth And destroy it There is no truth in christ Oh, how I wish there was peace But peace is non-existent, so follow in line Kill life NOTE: I don't know even how I feel about this song. I'm not sure if I like it better than my others, or if it is as good as the others, but it's how life is. There is no peace, but there sure is a damn lot of people killing.
here, here my friend. i totally agree. as for the song, it's very good. alot of opitmism in here even thought it seems very dark. i really like it!
i don't see how the narrator gets from the fifth to the sixth stanza. it sounds like the narrator is horrified with the sinful people around him and wishes they would attempt to refrain from the addiction of killing, but then the narrator just gets frustrated and gives up in his quest to help others, instead joining in the killing. Plus the lines "seek out the truth and destroy it" followed by "there is no truth in christ" might lead one to believe christ once was the truth, but someone destroyed the truth in him. otherwise, where is the truth that one should destroy? and why should one destroy the truth? is this song serious or is it a satire of hypocrisy, because it is coming off as the latter.
Ah, there my friend...you have asked a question I have asked many times! What is the truth? Let me try to answer your questions, as I don't fully understand your statement. There is no such thing as truth...religion wise. And it seems to me that it is hard for us to find truth, as we have not found it yet, its...evading us. Which leads me to believe maybe there is something...dangerous...in the truth? And if it be dangerous, would we not want to destroy it? Take the KKK for instance. I am in no way racist mind you, and many of my friends are black. Many KKK members did not just kill someone because they we're black. They killed someone (who usually was black) because they we're different from themselves, different scares people and leads them to think that the person who is different, is "dangerous." And so, they...destroyed them. Anyways, for the beginning of the poem, I write "tomorrow maybe I will find truth in one christ." To shed hope on the reader...whether you are atheist, or christian, catholic or muslim, I'm sure each of us would love there to be a god, to be a heaven, to be a place to go when we die, instead of believing we're just going to the ground. In the second verse, I write "I'm looking for a way out" meaning, I personally don't care if there is a god, I just want out of this world where this is so much brutality. Now I'm just trying to lead up to your question of how the 5th stanze reaches the 6th, and it seems like you like to think, so here you go... Waiting for tomorrow, a new day, a better life, a better world. But as our world is at the moment, the murdering, and the war, and the blood shed, and the pain is not going to quit over night. The only way to ever have a better life...a better world, is to wipe out what is now. Our biggest enemy seems to be life at the moment, at least it's the biggest battle, is it not? And are we not fighting to keep our lives? We are in fact on the way to a new beginning. There will be more war, there will be more killing, as it is still going on right now. But someone will get a hold of...I don't know much about weaponry, so lets just say a large bomb. Someone will get a hold of one, set it off not caring about themselves, sending the world in a cataclysmic goodbye. A pre revalation...hmm...I wonder, when the world blows up how is god going to have that whole fight with the antichrist and what not? How will we get a second chance? Well...that is a different topic...different story, different song. Hope I helped. Edit: Out of curiosity, I did a little reading of the religous form of the term Armageddon. Well, this is what I got out of it. Armageddon is the final battle between good and evil, god and satan, jesus and the antichrist along with their armies...it says it's the battle that will be held after the world is destroyed. Maybe the Messiah is almost here...

so you're trying to say that religion, most specifically Jesus, is opinion and speculation and philosophy, but not truth. because you ask questions about armageddon and speculate a messiah returning to earth, but you say there's no truth in christ. i think you're saying truth is bad, but not christ. this is true in many senses. as we advance and as our knowledge of our world increases, we destroy the world more and more. let us return to innocence. ignorance is bliss. truth shouldn't be sought. love should be sought.
agreed! the more we understand about the world and people, the less faith we have in the world and in people. its a sad reality.

No, I'm not saying Christ is "bad." But being an atheist, I don't believe in him. And the bit about the messiah coming is sarcastic, all that hasn't happened is the rapture. After that, the world will be in chaos with the antichrist, it will destroy itself through war and greed, and then the lord and his son shall come down and wipe away all the evil. Or whatever. I agree mostly. But in my opinion, ignorance is not bliss...I would rather know everything, instead of question it and never be sure.
You sound surprised.
Mabye cause you wrote a good poem! Anyway, nice work, great poem, usually i don't like the 1 or 2 word lines but they fitted in nicely, a true masterpeice. Nothing bad to say about it. it truely is great. Keep up this great work. And thanks for the long explanation. LOL. Keep it up. Also noticed you canged your user name (there was not point in saying that but oh well)
You sound surprised too! And yes, if anyone ever wants an explanation on any of my songs, I will give them one. Thank you, also. Oh yeah, changed my name too...
