i saw "Phone Booth" about 4 hours ago, and it's by far the best movie i've seen since The Matrix. it's full of twists, suspense and flat out amazing acting. The first 10 mins show us the life of the main character, then he picks up a ringing pay phone and is pulled into a huge game of lies and deception. keifer sutherlands voice (the sniper at the other end of the line) is so perfect for his role, and colin farrell does a great job as a man whose life is falling apart. i wouldn't want to ruin ANYTHING, because this movie is too good to just hear about. go to your theatre NOW and see it! "The Matrix" is still #1 in my books, but "Phone Booth" easily takes #2 on my top 10 favorite movies.
I'm gonna see that movie, but when it gets on video. I heard that the movie is really good, but i'm not wasting my movie beacause I want to use it when Matrix 2 comes out and all those great movies.
eek! that's the movie i wanna see, besides matrix: reloaded and anger management. it looks suspenseful, which i want to watch! one quick question, just a yes or no answer. does he ever leave the phone booth, or is basically the whole movie, he's inside? answer, don't answer. hm...i get the feeling it'll ruin the movie. so whatever.
this movie is much better in a theatre atmosphere, the dark lights and loud sound really add to the suspense. if you wait for the DVD, it's suspensefullness (sp?) might get smaller.
A note: Phone Booth's original theatrical debut was set to November 2002, but thanks to those assassins in Washington around that time, it was pushed back until April. God knows why so long? Anywho, I LOVED Phone Booth as well, but I wouldn't put it as number 2. An hour and 20 minute movie inside a phone booth in New York couldn't possibly be neck-and-neck with THE MATRIX. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE.
haha, it's not neck and neck with the matrix, it's just my 2nd favorite movie. matrix is by far the best movie i've ever seen, nothing will compare to it. except maybe Reloaded and Revolution.
I saw that advertise a couple of nights ago. I was pretty interested in seeing it. It's not one of the top things on my list to do though.
