More 'Rising Tied' Info

    MTV.com recently posted an interview they did with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park on his hip-hop side-project he's releasing under the moniker of Fort Minor.

    According to Mike, Styles of Beyond will be featured on "Remember The Name", which will serve as 'Rising Tied's first single.

    "I've known [Styles of Beyond] forever, and for me to be able to come back and put them on [Linkin Park's] label, Machine Shop Records, it's a good feeling. You can tell on the song "Remember the Name" that we were having fun with it and being able to brag on it...

    ...It's a song that sums up where we're coming from with the album and the project. So if you were to look for the record out there on the Internet, look for that [song] first.    "

    As previously mentioned, the song "Right Now" will feature Black Thought and a second appearance from Styles of Beyond. Mike commented that he thought Black Thought's verse was one of his best ever;

    ""Right Now" is a cross-section of everyday life as each person sees it. And Black Thought's verse is one of the best I've ever heard him do. It's beautiful. And it made the song just perfect to me."

    It was also revealed that along with Jay-Z, Mike also worked with Linkin Park bandmate Brad Delson to keep him focused and creative.

    'Rising Tied' is set for release in the latter part of summer.

    great info! i wonder when hes gonna release the song onto the internet and also to radio stations and stuff..

    Oh cool, man can't wait for the album to come out, it sounds better and better as time goes on. :rolleyes:

    Sweet ass this makes me even more excited. Is Mike puttignt his out under Warner Brothers or will it be under Machine Shop Records?

    "Remember the Name" will be the first single the project releases.

    Does that mean Shinoda is supportive enough of Internet downloading to say where tracks might appear?

    "You're gonna have to be creative," he smiled. "I'm not going to tell people where to look."

    so styles are gonna be featured on 2 songs. That interview with apathy was so true....S.O.B will blow up big time cos of this.

    Why does the mtv article say that the
    song 'right now' (feat Balck thought and S.O.B is a concept song? :unsure:
