Yeah. I was going to say that with Chester's collaborations with artists such as Z-Trip and DJ Lethal, and the up-coming Shinoda Solo Album, it could redeem them a bit.
i've heard that they're gonna put in something new, like they did with breaking the habit. i expect that the new album is going to be a bit more rap then rock, but[!!!] there probably aint't gonna be no ''nobody's listening'' type of song where chaz screams once or twice... mostly songs built like faint, figure etc.
lol, Hyrbid theory is so good, it can only go downhill from there as sauid 1000 times, im waiting for the new album...if it isnt better tham meteora...farewell lp
They need to change there lyrical style also to hybrid , not only rock lyrics , they're rap rock eletronic in music but lyrics it's mostly rock , I hope half of the songs gonna have lyrics like stick'n move high voltage, step up and so on . ht en meteora both hadn't god any of it , They will also be loved by a greater audiences
I just hope the lyrics on the new album are less...emo-ish. I also want to hear something acoustic on it.
Can we also discuss here on Mike's Fort Minor album? Cuz it's also a new album... Well, I've realized Fort Minor has the same meaning as Soldier with Wings,- a combination of a rough part mixed together with a soft one.
Because hopes without reasons go very well. I actually think it'd be cool to, instead of going the rock route, try some rap/electronica/instrumental stuff. You know, the things that are supposedly in their music but covered by guitars. In short, LP needs to make a 'The Fragile.' And to the guy with the longest name ever, Fort Minor discussion goes in the, um, Fort Minor forum. How revolutionary.

I don't want LP to put an album out that you have to get consumed in to enjoy. Which IMO is what The Fragile is. I want them to do something new. If concept albums weren't the thing right now, I think LP could put out an amazing concept album.
To vaguely quote in not-exact words of the Mars Volta... "How can an album not have a concept?" When I listen to LP interviews, they always talk about keeping the songs short and sweet, and taking out the needless junk. I'd like to see them be challenged by releasing songs that are 4+ minutes and still interesting. No needless junk. See if they can make it still sound mainstream.
BAH! Necropost!
This thread is pinned. Don't think it matters. EDIT: The Fragile isn't your classic concept album. It tells a story, yes, but you don't need to know the story to enjoy the songs and relate to the songs. I don't think many people can relate to TMV's Cassandra Geminni, you know?

I agree, I think all of the songs on TF can easily be listened to and enjoyed but if you want to get the full experience you have to consume yourself in it IMO (but that could be said about a lot of albums). Also, I think they could make a great album. But they're too worried about their commercial success. Look at bands like Green Day. Honestly, listening to Dookie, would you ever think a band like that could write a 9 minute song (let alone two) and it be a great song? Sure Dookie was a great CD, but you would never imagine a band like that to ever experiment like that. Maybe I'm just being hopeful, but I really can't imagine LP doing another Hybrid Meteora. But I also can't imagine them breaking away from their formula.
I hope it comes out in at least next april/may, that will mark 3 years since meteora came out, so thats a lot of time between albums. LiNkIn PaRk RuLz
Yea, personally, I don't like the whole LP/JZ thing. That was a waste of time where they could have been making a new album. I have been waiting forever for some new music from them.
