ICP Official Site (aka the Source) The Calm EP is released May 17th, 2005. My guess is that they'll play some tracks from The Calm at the Gathering this year, since the Gathering is in June or July, and the EP comes out in about 40-50 days. Anyone else excited for this?
2 of my friends are hardcore Juggalos. I'll probably give it a listen. Not really a fan, but I loved "In My Room" on Hell's Pit.
My sister's a huge fan, so I'll hear it blaring through the walls of her room and she'll be begging me to play it in the car. I loved "The Great Milenko" when I was (alot) younger.
i definitely wouldn't call them the kings of the underground rap scene. they're pro-wrestling clowns who write about the most irrelevant subjects possible and act like it's all mystical, but really it's just poor lyrics.
... then, if you don't like ICP, why did you come into this thread? The website never called them kings, only masters, cause they've been out doing their thing since...since I was a baby :chemist:. I mean, they never originally rapped about mass murder and chicken hunting. They were originally the Inner City Posse. And the only reason they're considered the masters of underground rap is because look at all the fans. To have an underground rap cd go Gold, go Platinum...that's friggin amazing. To have so much attention and yet still have the title of "The Most Hated Band In The World". To have all of this fanbase, and yet not even get played on MTV...it's really amazing. But I guess you never thought of that. I think a quote from Mark fits in right about...here. So basically...don't like the topic? Press back button. ANYWAYS. I'm really anxious for this EP, especially if Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope are totally working on the cd 100%. I'm surprised Violent J had time to do this, what with the recent birth of his son. I'm more anxious though because it's the first EP, let alone album, since the close of the Jokers Cards (Hell's Pit was the second half of the last Joker Card). I've been curious as to see what the Wicked Clowns will rap about, you know, since the Dark Carnival is like...gone.
